???? I’m confused by your response broski. I literally said she’s a trailblazer for wmma. But I do disagree that she did it all herself; the UFC gave her the platform. If you don’t agree with that then fine. But anyway, My post was in response to someone saying well if she defended her title 7-8 times and that makes her overrated, well what does make everyone else? we can’t deny that her opponents sucked and a lot of wmma fighters now in her weight class DO suck. So it’s hard to make a verdict about ratings for female fighters. I’m not blaming Ronda for that. I’m not even really shitting on her. I’m just wondering how you can claim you’re the greatest ever, which I think she has, when you folded when things got hard? It’s not a mean spirited question.

Most of the forum seems to think WMMA was made of rainbows and vanilla ice cream when Carano was on top.
She folded because she was brought up in a fucked up way to think losing was completley unacceptable,and to top that off she also was under a tremendous amount of public scrutiny,more so than any other fighter probably.
She experienced being the media darling,and then all of sudden,they,like the fans turned on her fast as lightning.
Who wants to go back to a sport you helped build when everyone is a fuckin ingrate and put it out there that they hate you and laugh at your misfortune to this very day ? She tried to come back,but it was too late.

When she started her farm people hated her for starting a farm,She cant win with these people so i dont blame her for being bitter and not wanting to come back. Her struggle isnt the same as other fighters. Hell look how long Conor took to recieve his beating from Khabib. That guy was out there comitting crimes,getting arrested,and he didnt get nearly the same flack. But i bet it was a bitch to come back,esp after the khabib fight. Sometimes trailblazin aint no easy thing.

I get what you’re saying—fair points. It’s true that she gets an inordinate amount of hate, which a lot of people in the spotlight have trouble with. And I mean, she says insufferable things at times that open her to ridicule, but I don’t think that’s the cause of hate for her.

I really think people, who knows, maybe just sherdoggers, got really rustled when she started talking about being able to beat male fighters and her trainer started claiming she was dropping champions in boxing. It seems like people never forgave her for talking all that.

everyone was just waaaaaiting for her to get her ass kicked. I think it’s natural, sadly. This is what people do as fans, because fans don’t really know the suffering that goes on. Being a fighter is hard. It’s a hard life. You sacrifice your best years for a sport that gives you no guarantees and leaves you in pain for the remaining years of your life, which can last three times longer than the best years of your life. I gave a shot at it myself and quit because I wanted my knees. A lot of sherdoggers, from the way they post, I can tell have never stepped into the his type of lifestyle because no one who actually knows how things go would be so disrespectful. I assume most of us here are just joking around.

But anyway, So I have no actual beef with Rondas career. It’s just her claims at being the greatest That I find problematic
