Don't get me wrong, she acted like a tool, but she came to the UFC at what, 25-26, was immediately made a massive pop culture figure, and had everyone telling her she was the greatest thing ever.

I don't know many in their 20s, even early 30s, that are really mentally equipped for that kind of thing, and wouldn't have it go to their heads.

People also forget that she was still in her 20's when she lost to Nunes and retired from MMA. She's had some bad looks since then but I do wonder if at some point she's going to reflect, see things for what they are and come out with some deep philosopher shit like Mike Tyson did after his career was over.

UFC still doesn't have anyone that touches Ronda or Conor in crossover appeal and popularity, and it's really not even all that close.

Nevermind at that time she had every magazine, tv show, movies, all sorts of things telling her she was the best thing ever, and queen.

I've seen threads about Ronda post-UFC career, where some paparazzi snapped candid pictures of her just walking her dog, and you had the mouthbreathers her foaming at the mouth what an evil and disgusting human being she was. Even this thread is an example of that, she is in her late 30's, does some training again, having a great time. And somehow people still manage to twist that into some personal slight. "Trying to recapture lost glory!" "Who does she think she is enjoying her workout?" etc.

well, the loss at the olympics is the biggest of her career and she took it very badly.

She had 3 losses in the Olympics, two in 2004 and one in 2008 to the eventual other joint bronze medalist. Arguably her first loss in the 2004 Olympics was bigger because it was to the eventual silver medalist. But either way, she had plenty of losses in Judo to ruminate over and be pissed off about. I think she's just a chick with a chip on her shoulder and a hyper-competitive personality.

Yep, the only way she comes back is if she is broke or going to be. People keep forgetting that Ronda doesn't have the capacity to learn significant new skills in a normal amount of time at a normal pace. She only learned judo because her mom beat it into her 24/7 over years and years. Once she was successful, she chose a crappy coach because she didn't want to go back to that 24/7 grind and look stupid in front of the other people at the gym. Remember, she forced her sparring partners for the Nunes fight to sign NDA's. We know her boxing in that fight was shit so the NDA's weren't used to hide her ninja-like boxing skills from Nunes. The NDA's were used to keep her sparring partners from revealing what a moron she was in training.

She'll want a fight she is likely to win so probably Tate. The only way she takes a harder fight or one she is likely to lose is if the pay is double or triple the money for a Tate-like opponent. If she is offered $2 million for Tate, she'll take a tougher opponent for $4 million or maybe $6 million. She wants to make enough money to live off of for the rest of her life. The acting roles are drying up as people become aware of her low-IQ and delusional, angry personality.

She did her best to get those haters though. She's a disrespectful person that can't handle a fraction of what she puts out coming her own way. It was obvious, especially in her history with Tate, and she really exposed her personality on TUF.

Add that she also managed to alienate a good deal of people backstage in WWE for similar reasons and it's clearly a consistent personality trait of hers and not just a public act.
