Ronda only eats 1 meal a day

Gorillas are vegetarians. Just saying.

Our bodies don't operate same way as gorrilas. they can process the nutrients from vegetables in a way a human can't. Cows eat grass, go eat grass and see how big you'll get. The brontosaurus was also a herbivore:

does that mean humans can get as big as they want eating only vegetables? off course not. also humans need animal products to get vitamine b12 for instance. A vegan diet is unnatural for a human.

What is so hard to believe about that. I know women who only eat 1 meal a day on most days. Plus she probably has a snack early in the day. Apple - berries ect.

Dude, you know the kind of calories an elite level athlete like her expends in one day? There's no way you can compare her diet to someone who's idea of exercise is walking up and down a flight of stairs.

Since "meal" is a subjective term she's not really stating anything extraordinary. I sincerely doubt this means she only eats once a day. This is similar to how I eat; I just snack throughout most of the day and only really have a substantial meal at dinner.

I guess it depends on what your definition of a meal is. You may only eat one big meal a day but your snacking on berries and drinking protein shakes all day.

Herschel and Ronda aren't exactly known for their honesty either.

Nutrition is a very interesting topic...

It's probably possible to perform well by having only one huge dinner and snacking troughout the day ( I have doubts about just eating once while training for MMA / cross training ) ..

But the real question is wouldn't they perform even better by eating throughout the day ???

Does nobody here recognize a joke when they see it? I'm not proposing eating bamboo shoots to get ripped, so relax. Fuck.

I imagine it's got to be hard to digest one massive meal for an athlete. Grazing throughout the day sounds right.

You could always train like Pudzianowski though and eat one meal with a dozen candybars throughout the day. :icon_chee

27 pages. Topic: some female fighter that has never fought in the UFCs eating habbits.

Does nobody in here seriously not know about intermittent fasting?
And also, Herschel is JUICED up as FUCK you're delusional if you deny it.

Herschel is a genetic freak and truly elite athlete. Almost nobody in mma falls into this category. The true elite athletes are not the ones competing in the UFC.

I eat one meal a day, but that doesn't count that I snack on other things through the day, like a boiled egg or two in morning (not exactly a meal), and fresh fruits and nuts, or fruit smoothies before training, and only really have one big meal in the evening a few hours before bedtime. I am not a fighter by any means, but I train BJJ, grappling or strength and conditioning for 2-4 hours a day, 4-6 days a week, and I get by fine on one meal a day.

Actually, what you're doing would be considered "small meals" according to bodybuilders. That's how a lot of them eat: Frequent small to medium meals throughout the day.

I did some googling. Someone explained it like when someone gets an A on a test, and you ask them how much studying did you do? A lot of times they say "I didn't really study" or "Not much". It's just like them trying to humble and downplaying their success. They don't want to accurately express how much work they put into it.

Interesting.

huh? that's not downplaying. That's trying hard to sound awesome.

"I hardly studied and I got an A I'm so smart"

"look at me I eat 1 meal a day and I'm still a top level athlete, I'm super special!!"

Around 11:28.

This guy also only eats 1 meal a day, and he doesn't eat meat.

edit - More information I found.

Ronda Rousey

"I only eat one meal a day at night. During the day I mostly only eat berries. The great thing I eat is organic. I eat raw as much as I can. Any kind of chemicals that I couldn't find on the earth 10,000 years ago. If I have beef, it's always grass fed. Now that I make enough money to buy stuff like that I like to spoil myself."

he clearly eats horse meat

Sigh. Only in the most technical and pedantic sense that they don't go out of their way to avoid bugs on or in their food.

They are an herbivore or called "primarily herbivore" in every reliable source I've ever seen because they only seek out plant based foods and do not require animal products to survive, as humans and say, bears, which are true omnivores, do.

Gorillas raised in captivity which eat pre prepared foods and do not consume bugs show no differences in size or health than wild gorilla which consume the odd termite or caterpillar. So in the most pedantic and technical sense they could be called omivores, but I all I can find in Britanica, zoology guides, and wikipedia and the like is "herbivore" and "primarily herbivore."

So go jump in a lake.

I'll happily take a swim as long as we agree that "primarily herbivore" = omnivore.

With a diet like this, she probably consume a lot of chicken, and something tells me she prefers that of the male chicken sort.

Some people are just genetic freaks.
Hershel Walker stated that he, indeed, only ate one meal a day and it was all vegetables. Why would he lie? What does he have to gain?

Walker has a lot of mental problems, I wouldn't believe what he said, unless it was documented.

Regardless of his eating habits, he is a phenom. But he has a very serious personality disorder, very serious. He tried to kill his wife & claims he doesn't remeber. I hav a hard time trusting someone who is that insane
