Unless u r strictly wanting to compete in JJ or judo I think u should roll with strikes most of the time. At least throw slow, controlled strikes or your grappling skills are, well I won't say use less but as everybody who does this knows, shit gets different. Being on bottom sucks. Gaurd, butterfly, half hitch, doggystyle whatever, it sucks. There are things you can do from the bottom but really if I'm in a fight I want to be standing or at least on top. If I have someone in my gaurd Im just making the best of a bad position.
