That woman beater he knocked out is doing way better in life these days than huerta is. He's got a cushy coaching job with UT last I checked

I'm not watching that. It sucks to see he's still going.

War Roger all damn day.

Wow, pretty boy to that... the years have not been kind to him.

He was possibly the first fighter I started to like when I was getting into MMA. Him or Liddell. Can't remember 100%. Sucks that he couldn't hang at the top for longer.

Huerta vs Guida was one of my favorite MMA moments. Great heart and comeback

He derailed himself when he went and shot that shitty movie and took a long lay-off. He was never the same

Yep.. its really sad. He was like Conor in the sense that, people wondered if he could handle grappling at all, but you know the fact that he beat Guida was amazing. You just didnt think itd end so fast for him.

Why was this guy hyped?
Handsome young Mexican American. UFC thought they had themselves a potential Oscar De La Hoya character. Plus a tragic backstory that makes for good comeback story promotion.

Dudes unrecognizable, Wtf is with MMA fighters morphing into lizard ppl after they hit 40s? Frank Mir has a head like a popped grape now.

Accumulated damage, bad plastic surgery to stay young (botox, actual plastic surgery, removing/injecting fat), possible/likely steroid depending on the fighter, etc.. When you're the king of the world (bad ass, famous, "rich"), you think you'll be young forever so you abuse your body and then ruin it more trying to regain what you had.

He had a nice UFC streak. You're supposed to get tattoos on the scalp, not the neck.

First Mexican based fighter to get that treatment
He once rode a 6 fight winning streak (winning a FOTY in the process) on UFC, which kinda secured him a spot on Sports Illustrated cover, as showed before this post.
He was good, but left his prime super young, even earlier than Rory McDonald. He seems to be a head case from what I've gathered.
