The "Mainstream" media of today are podcasters & social media influencers. & they know this too. They play semantics to hide this.
The facts are
- Rogan makes more money than any of the TV talking heads
-Rogan's show is more accessible to the world
-Rogan has hundreds of millions more in views than MS media outlets
-Rogan was & is vastly more famous than any of the TV talking heads
-Rogan is not "independent" if hes signing the largest hundred million dollar deals with actual controlling companies.
-Rogan hocks sponsors non stop
-Rogan is the king of product placement & plugging
-Rogan brings on guests in his sphere so they can promote, sell, or grift to his audience.
-Rogan has direct access to every major celebrity and the entire current US government administration. He has our government on speed dial. Always name dropping his famous & high ranking "friends"

Classifying Rogan or other similar players in the online space as mainstream would even be an understatement. Its a joke that people are still running with the he is not MSM narrative. Blind.

I personally know several people who are not engaged in politics at all who were going to vote for either Trump or Sanders just as a “fuck you” to the establishment system. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are people like that everywhere. Until I had a career and owned property, I didn’t give a shit about politics and maybe would’ve done something similar.

Point is, if those two had campaigned against each other for presidency in 2016, today’s political landscape could be entirely different.

I look at what went down in 2016 like this- the people on both sides were simply fed up with your standard democrat and republican candidates. Change needs to happen. The Republican Party ended up running their populist candidate while the Democrats closed ranks and boxed theirs out. I do actually have resentment towards the party over what went down.

Bernaldo sanders on Joe Rogan for a second time. Gets trapped by Rogan a few times but sticks to his guns at least. Really would like them to have gone into detail as much about healthcare and eduction as they did about trump suing the media. Bernie can off well here and was personable. I don’t rehash his positions, you should know them by now. They do go into automation a fair amount and I’m 99% onboard with that discussion here. Greatly shortened once all the jobs have been replaced you’ll have to have to some form of universal healthcare, education, and basic income. There’s no other way for people to survive. I argue only that we’ve said that before and we made whole new employment sectors. The transition is going to be wild and it’ll be soon. 20 years or less I think.
