I know a lot of people love to kick someone when he's down, but it doesn't change the fact that Rockhold is a great, great fighter. Romero's victory is just more impressive because of that very fact. Rockhold rightfully was criticized for his antics during Bisping fight, but in no way shape or form do I believe he fought cocky against Romero, which was not the reason that he got ktfo, unlike against Bisping.

He's just a victim of an unfortunate circumstance that he fights in, where the middleweight division is a bloody shark tank, filled with amazing, exceptional fighters, completely different from the one during Anderson's reign, which was often touted as the weakest in all of UFC, if not MMA.

I am not even a fan of the guy, but I feel like all these critcism seems way over the top, and the latest defeat does not diminish his accomplishments or did it expose him in any shape or form. A better man won that night, and the show goes on.

The reason Luke lost to Bisping was because he was an inferior fighter.

I actually DO feel a little bit bad for Luke after this fight, for the first time ever.

He seemed REALLY amped up and ready to win here. and not quite as over-confident as usual. I thought he might get it done too.

Yoel is just a nightmare. Next level explosiveness and athleticism.

luke whitz cuban godfather are the best MW ever (moose #4

He didnt take Bisping seriously the second time and it cost him his career in many respects. That doesnt diminish what he has done, but he could have several title defenses by now instead of taking a year off and then taking an ass whomping.

Romero is a tough out for anyone, but Luke botched against an angry revenge driven crazy person and it derailed him hard core

I don't know about 2 x greats. 1 is enough and even that can be up for debate.

Very good? Absolutely.
Great? Not so sure. The rest of his career will determine which category he falls into.

In the bowels of my own hell, no way Luke makes the top 10 greatest. History will prove it like it's already doing.

Most mma fans in 2040 won't know the name. Lol

If he is a great fighter.. why he doesn't fight a man of his size at LHW?

But Luke beat Bisping the first time.
Are you suggesting that they're relative superiorities shifted/inverted in between fights?

Also, don't you think "superiority" depends on probability (who's more LIKELY to win) rather than simply who won, as we're dealing with extremely small sample sizes of one or two bouts?
