So fucking weird to see Luke in Bare Knuckle. Thought he’d be in Bellator for sure, he’s friends with Scott Coker.
I sure hope he goes there next! Luke is my long-term comeback kid first pick, so he better get back into MMA after he starches Platinum Perry (that I really, really appreciate, especially for breaking MVP's face in their
black on black crime main-event), and Bellator would be a good place for that.
(I just hope he doesn't run into Mousasi, or for the first time in my life I'll have to root against Luke)
PFL is too risky, Bellator can feed him a few guys to build his confidence back, and then when he finally takes the belt there, I can brag about about having known all along (at least until someone ask me to post my bet slips if I was sooo sure or gtfo).
Seriously, if I was to predict who the next Mark Hunt/Andrei Arlovski/Robbie Lawler/Jorge Masvidal, aka a guy who can make a comeback to the elite level of the sport after falling down to journeyman level, Luke would be my choice.
As happy as the Bisping KO made everyone here, had the two had a tie-breaker right after, the rightful favorite would have still been Luke.
And his last UFC fight against local favorite Paulo Costa was a banger
And his UFC losses were all to elite guys on great runs (championship run Jan, TRT Vitor, championship run Bisping, friggin' Romero between his 2 UFC title shots...)
Before the Costa bout, Luke also lost a grappling bout at
Polaris 12 to Nick Rodriguez in a pretty boring affair, but Nicky Rod is a badass BJJ player (he's considered boring because he turns BJJ matches into wrestling bouts, but the dude is still very, very good) so it's not like he was submitted by Black Beast or what.

So yeah, been on the Salty Bandwagon since Strikeforce, and I ain't bout to chance me ways
Can't wait for BKFC 41 to start
Lots of cool fights with our favorite MMA veterans
I had kind given up on this org, because what got me hooked at the start were the washed up MMA dudes having a go at each others or against pro boxers without gloves, but when BKFC started to breed their own crop of "bare knuckle boxers from the start", I just didn't have the motivation to keep up with those dudes.
I just wanted more Artem Lobov vs Paulie Malignaggi type of main-events, with a Phil Baroni vs Chris Leben & Johnny Hendricks vs Dakota Cochrane side-dishes (I just realized that those last 2 didn't even take place under the BKFC banner, which sadly casts some doubts on the legitimacy of these contests

)
Anyway, this event has shade of early BKFCs, which were full of recently retired MMA stars, so cash ya all on the PBP thread!
