Many will say Terminator, but Robocop was better for me.

Terminator 2 however was better than Robocop.

This sums up my opinion as well. I would also like to add that Robocop 2 also is better than Terminator imo, and I think I might even like it better than Robocop. But T2 is better than all of them.

Without T2, T1 would be largely forgotten. It really is a zombie movie that has been done a million times already. A hero protects a damsel from an unkillable demon/
zombie/robot. It is good but it is hard to watch in comparison to T2. Robocop is a campy movie that plays on cynicism and the downward spiral of society. The plot is more original and interesting inmho as well. Most of the time, I think I would rather watch Robocop over T1. T2 though is way way better than both.

Terminator was an A+ movie. Robocop was an A-.

Without Boddicker RC is just an ok movie, imo.

jesus christ, i'm shocked this isn't unanimous for T1. I don't even like Robocop when comparing it to nothing, let alone one of the most intense movies ever.

depends on how old you are i guess. I saw T1 before T2 came out and it had a lasting impact on me. I've always preferred T1.

T2 was made for a reason. T1 was a bad ass fucking movie that people liked.

Both were fun films to watch and I give the edge to Terminator based on to me it being a little more tense and Arnold being most menacing as the unstoppable machine.

Robocop is one my all time favs. It's rooted in a realistic context whereas Terminator is a rather impossible scenario
