This could be the next fight for the MW title. Who takes this in your opinion?

Rob has been too hittable lately but he should be the favorite

Rob would have the same problem Izzy did in that he ain't finishing Alex. Rob goes to decisions too much. He hurts guys sure but doesn't put them away.

Alex is a Terminator and while Rob would have grappling success no reason to believe he'd get a GNP stoppage or submission.

If Cannonier's jab is rocking you like that imagine Alex's? In that fight Cannonier gave him a lot of trouble with the leg kick too as did Izzy. Alex would chew it up with how heavy on the lead foot Rob is.

Darren Till also rocked Bobby and obviously Izzy did too. Till is important because his grappling is absolute dogshit. As sus as Alex's grappling is I can't imagine it's much worse than Darren's

And Alex was BUTCHERING Izzy in the clinch with body punches and knees. Rob would get annihilated inside and if he kept his distance and stood with Alex hes going to sleep.

Alex finds the KO..

Rob should be the favorite, but Alex can definitely find that chin. I think Bobby can make him work more with his wrestling and maintain control to tire him out. Thing is, Pereira has twenty five minutes to find his chin and Whittaker would need to more than likely win a decision if he can't make him gas out and get a finish on the ground. It's a great fight on paper.

I can see Robert panic wrestling for a little bit but see Alex keeping it standing long enough to tap his chin worse than Izzy did .

Rob is easily the favorite because unless Perreira somehow improves his wrestling/TDD 10x over the next 3 months, he stands no chance.

Everybody worth a lick is going to try and take him down now.

There's definitely gonna be an immediate rematch. It'll be huge and the UFC would be crazy to risk Poatan losing to ruin it.

Tough to say, Pereira is bigger and hits harder but Whittaker has the grappling advantage. Pereira is extremely green in MMA, who knows how much he will have improved by the next time he steps into the cage. I think we might see Robert Nurmagomedov in that fight tbh.

Also Pereira should move up pretty soon imo, maybe defend 1 or 2 times. He has the size of a light heavyweight and the cut down to 185 is pretty brutal for him. I think he'd do well at 205.

Every time rob has fought a world class striker he lose badly.
Wonderbread and izzy pushed his shit in.
I can't see this ending well for Rob, although I would be supporting him all the way

Whittaker would be winning untill he wouldn't. Problem for him is, Poatan just proved that he carries his power late, all the way through the very end of the fight and he never gives up.

And RW has gotten nearly finished mid to late in fights so many times now. Talk about his good wrestling(with no GnP or sub threat btw) all you want. This is too big a task. Literally. Imagine how much bigger Poatan looks next to him.

Idc how much he tries to wrestle, over 5 rounds I expect Whittaker to get hit with a left and go nighty night

Alex ground game appears very bad. I mean Izzy got him down lol. Khazmat and Whitaker are to much for him.

Whitaker wins easy with 5 rds of lay n pray or a sub. Alex loses to first true grappler he fights.

Is he a true grappler? I know his credentials and he has shown it in some fights. But it takes a prime Jacare, Romero, Weidman, Kennedy etc. to grapplefuck him.

MV probably matches up better. He's big and strong and can clinch all day.
