Random but I remember he was on Inside the Actor’s Studio, and some foreign exchange student was asking him for advice

Rob basically told the kid to find a different career lol

So many great roles and he never seemed to age. Had a great run making in 89 years. RIP.

Gandolfini was great in that as well.
Fun fact about The Last Castle.....

They were getting groups of girls showing up on set. At first everyone was confused because Redford is pretty old at this point so wtf are these girls doing? Turns out they weren't there to see Redford at all but rather were there to see soap opera star Steve Burton.

Among other his films, I thought Three Days of the Condor was cool AF. It was one of the first spy dramas that seemed realistic, especially in comparison to the semi-superhero James Bond. I'll probably re-watch it later today.

My Favorites of his:
1. The Natural (also my favorite sports movie)
2. Sneakers
3. Three Days of the Condor
4. Jeremiah Johnson
5. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

why?

The Natural is one of my all times by anyone, The Sting is pretty damned good too and not just because of Redford but the incredible cast.

Lions for Lambs is a underrated movie of his, imo. Great fucking flick. The man was involved a ton of great work. RIP.

Absolute legend. Creating the Sundance Film Festival probably had a great impact on American independent cinema than any other single thing anyone has done.
