Road to UFC (TUF Japan) Discussion

Glad Yashabo and DJ ended up in separate semifinals, hope they both make the finals. Would just further show that the UFC should've did a Bantamweight show though.

I hope Wicky wins the whole thing

Me too or at least puts up a good enough showing to make it in the UFC. If matched up with the right strikers I think he could have a fun UFC career.

Ep.9 was over.
Hirota defeated DJ Taiki by decision.
Predictable but disappointing result.
Now this show is totally worthless.

They've been around longer than Nelson. I admire them for retaining 18 year old spirit.

Barnett Nelson
-250 +210
Over 1 1/2 -150
Under 1 1/2 +125

Over 1.5 R -150 seems lock to me. Bet the farm on it.

What's worse, this, or Riggs winning fightmaster?

I suppose it's at least a little better because Hirota will stick around but it's basically the same thing.

If Hirota doesn't win and the winner just goes 0-2 or 0-3 after the finale it would not be much better but at least it would be more interesting on the way there.

Mizuto Hirota vs. Teruto Ishihara in the finals

Ishihara defeated "Wicky" Nishiura via decision

Was really hoping for wicky. Other dude reminds me of my annoying students.

Damn. Well I hope Wicky gets a shot anyway, but since he's not booked for the finale it doesn't look so good

What a pointless season. Hands down. Hirota wins.

May as well do TUF 23 with Dennis Hallmann on the cast.

Well at least Hirota will finally get a W in UFC...

I don't see how Yashabo can win this. Dude is sloppy as hell and has
sad takedown offense/defense.

Overall I would say this season started out a bit too slowly but got better
overtime. It has lots of heartwarming and funny moments to compensate
some rather lackluster (but not terrible) fights. There are good moments in fight
but expect sloppy striking and gassing.
If you have fightpass I
suggest you watch it because this is a very rare chance to see lives of
Japanese fighters who fought almost entirely on local scenes
