ok cool! they moved the gp from road fc 29 to the 30th...

picking myung to win this

Xiaonan Yan vs Soo Hee Lee added

I was impressed with Yan's kicks in her ROAD debut, looking forward to seeing her again. As far as I know this will be Lim's MMA debut, according to ROAD she is from a Sanda background which is probably why she's on a China card.

I wanna see Aorigele knocked out so bad. Dude is a douche and a bully.

New bout added

Kim has seemed pretty promising so far in his career with 2 nice KOs

Idk much about his opponent. Assuming he isn't missing any bouts on his Sherdog or Tapology record (which is pretty common in that scene) then he hasn't fought since Martial Combat was a thing and was last seen dropping a decision to Folayang almost 6 years ago.

Heili alateng 7-6 vs fumiya Sasaki 8-12

Nannan he 4-5 vs Murat kazgan 2-0-1

Albert Cheng 6-3 vs yuki ishihara 2-2

Kiaoliang Zheng 3-0 vs ik hwan jang 2-1

that poster is fantastic.

looking forward to the event as well. still wish we were seeing wu chengjie on the ROAD cards in china (or anywhere really).

Also it turns out that So Hee Lim is the next product of ROAD's fighting ring girl fascination. Idk if she has actually done ring girl work but yeah

"Is she a fighter? Or is she a round girl? She is beautiful Lim So-Hee! And she will fight Yan Xiaonan at ROAD FC 030 in Beijing, China on 16 April. Live on CCTV5 and Epicentre.tv"

a debut figher vs the fighter who is arguably China's best? Sure, why not.

Sometimes Road's decision making is really puzzling. I realize they have big sponsors in China, but why sacrifice inexperienced Korean fighters?

They do it pretty often, sometimes it works out (Yoon Jun Lee, Jung Eun Park even though she lost looked good against vets). Seems to happen most in the Asian scene in general, Japan and China like throwing young or inexperienced fighters into the deep end quickly.

Good point. I guess it surprises me that a Korean promotion is doing this with their own fighters, after years of Japan doing it to them.

I guess it gets eyes on Yan, who they could be looking to sign exclusively and build up.

They probably view it as if Yan wins then they have a solid Chinese fighter that they can try to market, if Lim wins then they have a Korean with model looks that must be somewhat decent at fighting and can be heavily marketed.

Road FC has some good cards. I wish they would sign a deal with UFC Fight Pass and have someone on English commentary.

I don't see them on Fight Pass happening any time soon, they don't need it and their CEO is well known for not being a fan of the UFC people. They have been doing English commentary their last few events, I forget who they have do it though. Not sure if they will on this card or not since it's in China.

Yeah, i remember reading an interview of him saying that if UFC would come to Korean, they would lose a lot of money or something like that.
