Social Riverside Sheriff claims foiled assassination plot against Trump, Secret Service disagrees

Damn Nazis trying to get rid of someone who would actually bring peace to the nation.

With that said if he is a journalist right winger then it's not unusual to have guns.

Copycats will come and go but he's literally the safest US president in over 50 years probably. His security is tight AF right now.

Those are the vibes I'm getting. I remember the last time the leftists in the press tried this misdirection. They tried framing the violence against cops instigated by the leftist rhetoric glorifying #BLM, Antifa, and other cop-hating extremists as being perpetrated by those on the political right, and these fringe ultraconservative movements. It was bullshit back then, 98% of the violence against the cops was committed by anti-police leftists, there were only a tiny few outliers of crazy anti-government right-wingers killing cops.

The leftists on this board also didn't want to admit it was liberal-aligned sympathies which drove the previous assassination attempts on Trump, but in both cases, that's clearly what turned out to be the motives (the first was most vocally critical of Trump and conservatives on immigration policy proposals and rhetoric; the second was deeply critical of Trump and conservatives on the issue of the Ukraine).

But that appears to be what this Sheriff believes, that this guy is some sort of Boogaloo, and the police usually have well-founded suspicions. Furthermore, this particular Sheriff is an overtly conservative firebrand who has been deeply critical of Gavin Newsom.

Yet the arrested man avows support for Trump, and he denies an affinity for "Sovereign Citizens". It's strangest of all that the perpetrator is so well educated.
Miller is a registered Republican who holds a master’s degree from UCLA, and who ran for state assembly in Nevada in 2022. He lost in the primary.

The American left has consistently cast the allegation that rhetoric on the right contributes to incite violence among these "nutty" types: violence against people of color, violence against immigrants, violence against gays, etc. They seek to silence and demonize any rhetoric they construte to be "bigoted" by that virtue.

Yet they don't want to own responsibilty that their unrelenting demonization of Trump and his supporters could be argued to have the same effect. These are mainstream corporate outlets and sitting federal politicians who routinely use this kind of language. There have been many instances of "hate crimes" over the past decade involving people wearing red hats, for example.

So it matters. The facts matter.

Your blind spot and tunnel vision when it comes to the current Republican party and how it got there is astonishing.

The right has been the active cheerleaders in the race to the bottom for political weaponisation of the media, and the outright falsification of news, the matryrdom of their own cause, and the demonisation of opposing viewpoints.

Limbaugh, Hannity, and the rise of "Fair and Balanced" Fox News has dragged political discourse in your country into the absolute gutter. Fox News is, evidenced the Supreme Court rulings , and by their own admission,the abiogenesis of the concept of fake News.

And when Trump went even further than this and the media and the party refused to follow into the gutter, it effectively splintered the party and created the Tea Party, which was the Entree to the current main course Shit Souffle that is Maga and Trump.

And now the whole apparatus has fallen in lock step behind the Coppertoned Crook, and is losing it blaming everyone else for the rise in toxicity in American Politics.

Does the left get hysterical about Trump. Yes. Is it responsible for crazy people? No. Everybody is responsible for the things they do and say.

Surely the party of personal responsibility and fuck your feelings does not abrogate personal accountability in this case. Or is it a two tiered system when looking in the mirror?

But pretending like the Democrats are the main villian's when they got sucker punched and pulled into the gutter by Trump is clown shoes time.
