Just saw this myself. His performance in Manhunter is the GOAT villainous performance in film history IMO. I also love him in his appearances in Last Action Hero, The X-Files, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and The Blacklist. He was also gracious to up-and-coming and indie filmmakers, hence his awesome appearances in The House of the Devil and, of course, They're Made Out of Meat.

If you asked me to name anything else he was in, I'd struggle, but Manhunter is an ATG.

We were just talking manhunter. Rip Big Guy. He seemed to bring up anything he was in

I used to struggle to remember what he was in too, until I kept finding myself on his imdb page, he was in a lot and he made those films and shows better. I'm not up to him in x files yet but I remember him from the first time watched. I just passed an episode with Charles Nelson Reilly and Jesse Ventura in season 3. Last night Taylor Pruitt Vince, another actor who elevates what he's in.

I never put two and two together that along with Cain he was also Kelso in Heat and Frankenstein's Monster in Monster Squad.

RIP.

I've been watching that 12 Monkeys show on Prime and he's great in it. RIP
