Social RIP Toby Keith

What the fuck is this revisionist shit about the wars?

Millions of people weren’t dumb enough to swallow the propaganda and protested the invasions from start to finish.

Never saw Keith as anything more than someone who jumped to stardom exploiting the deaths of hundreds of thousands. Guess Kris Kristofferson got the last laugh.
What a shit thing to post about the guy that just died of cancer. Do you have any clue how much money he raised for the wounded warriors project?

He visited iraq, afghanistan multiple times and he also played for us at fort hood and and fort bragg.

I'm not saying he's perfect, but it's pretty telling when you guys use a death thread to smear a guy that also did a lot of good

who is the over sensitive mod in here? jesus. deleting completely random non-problematic posts and calling it baiting? fuck it. have the forum. fuck

I loved how he supported our military. He did numerous USO shows. I never saw him in concert, but I did eat at one of his restaurants in Vegas

My favorite Toby Keith song was Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. RIP Toby

Damn hearing that song brought back some memories from basic. America went to war on that song.

I have maybe 10 country songs I listen to on my infinite playlist ranging from 1960’s to 2024.

I didn’t read many posts just wonder how this ended up in WR? He trigger lefties somehow?

No he wasn't lol.

George Strait, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw, & Alan Jackson were all bigger stars than Toby Keith
Well they certainly didn't garner as much mainstream attention as Keith or I woulda remembered them

His career absolutely skyrocketed after exploiting the invasions for his own gain.

One is dead and the other is still alive and well at 87, that’s how.
Lol wtf. Bitter person. Hate to hear what your thoughts are about someone who was actually a bad/evil person. Like Pol Pot or Stalin.

You don't remember George Strait? I remember when he played Dusty Wyatt Chandler with one of the sickest soundtracks of all time.

Yup, all part of the persona. He capitalized on that big time.

All those dead middle eastern kids sure did get a boot in their ass, am I right?

I think exploiting a war to sell records is pretty bad.

Just because he serenaded some sherdoggers doesn’t really change that for me.

Bro, everyone of them sold more records. How did they not Garner more mainstream attention?

Tim McGraw was in Friday Night Lights for fucks sake haha

George Strait has had more #1 country songs than anybody in history.

To put into perspective, Toby Keith sold about 25 million albums. King George sold over 70 million lol. Toby Keith wasn't even in the same stratosphere as that guy

Also hilarious these libs pretending to be anti war.

I grew up around the corner from this dude. Just wanted to chime in that all of the locals on my social media feeds are in agreement that Toby was a racist POS, and fuck him.
