News RIP Jordan Breen

Alright, this might sound kinda weird, but I used to email into his show back in the day. If he didn’t get to your question on-air, he’d still hit you back with a reply email. I might even have some of those buried somewhere. The thing that always stuck with me? He’d end every single email with just a “- j.”

Seeing that picture, it made me laugh.
I had to go find it in my own emails with him.

"Jordan,
I love that shit. Can it get weirder?
Bellator is mma eerie indiana(tv).

We didn't deserve him, the best and funniest to ever do it. I would look around online every year or so and I hope I might see anything about him. TJ posted the drop for JBS and made me tear up. Coolest friend ( in my mind) I never actually met. I will listen to some classic pods later and pour one out for you. Keep Educating and Regulating where ever you are MMAstermind

Wow, this hits harder than I would've expected (then again I wouldn't have expected him to die so young). I knew him best by his original username on here when he was just a poster, mysexisartsy.* Any time someone created an MMA trivia thread, I knew my competition was him and Kolchak. He was always cool dropping knowledge on here and loved the sport so much, especially the early Japanese scene. RIP.

*Here's an old thread with a post from him under that name for anyone who wants a trip down memory lane: https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/the-btt-debate.386603/

I was trying to recall his username, so thanks for this.

Rip Breen. Gone too soon.

Man this is a major bummer.

Showing my age but I recall the glory days of SRN in 2006-2012. Cheap seats was my favorite radio show as Breen just had a level of knowledge and insight above everyone else. His Friday chats were also great as that gave anyone a chance to get his thoughts on any MMA issue.

I saw that reddit post from a few years back and tried to DM him there but never heard back from him.

I'm afraid we all know the reason for his death and that's a shame as he could easily have ended up on ESPN MMA shows had he kept his life together.

RIP Jordan, you were as OG as it gets for 2000s MMA reporting.

RIP. Read articles back in the day.

Ps:This thread is really is bringing out why these forums are unbearable at times due to the new fans.

Make me mod, I'll instant ban anyone who acts tough.

RiP Jordan

After UFC 86 I tuned into the after show :(

Where can you find the classic pods? I was trying to find some old beatdown after bell but the ones I found wouldn't work

Yeah I've been getting source audio from things like spreaker. I'm trying to recall episodes. I don't think there's a repositry you can easily search. Like I'm still trying to recall the mma book he did the wild ad insets for

Jordan Breen's show was the origin of Neil Diaz, the nerdy Diaz bro who collected stamps and wrote poetry in his free time

I don't post here, just read, but have just seen this thread. SRN and after that, Between Rounds, were fixtures for me. JB knew so much and I used to love how he could just sit and talk and talk. MMA media has lost one of its very best. RIP Jordan.
Same here, last time i posted pride was brought by zuffa!
the best years for mma really was between 2000 and 2010 and Jordon Breen was a part of that era,
rest in peace Jordon Breen.

Fuck, this one hurts. He clearly had substance abuse and other issues.

So important to early MMA and was a good guy. I also had a bunch of back and forth with him years ago.

His recap of old Pride and UFC events WAS THE BEST POD EVER.

It's sad something this tragic has brought back so many old accounts. I wish many would come back and contribute. Either way, RIP to Jordan. At only 38. Very, very unfortunate.

R.I.P. I learned a lot from Breen. He was the last great personality of the SRN. Though we differed over his use of the word "disinterested," our disagreement was good-natured.

Very sad. I remember listening to him and tj de santis on sherdog radio shows. Breen knew so much about mma and fighters from everywhere and tons of organizations big and small. Very sad. I remember listening like 10 years back or something like that reading online he had a lot of substance abuse problems. Not sure if it was drugs or alcohol but it was more than one site that was talking about it. I’m not sure if that is what caused him to pass away, but either way rip Jordan.
