Man we lost a true OG. He helped fuel my love for this sport back in the early 2010s when I joined this site.
Rest easy JB.
I will miss you.....

I fondly remember this era of Sherdog and would stay up at ridiculous hours listening to every post PPV show with mostly TJ Desantis kind of whining that he was tired while Jordan would be at 100% and prolonging the show answering to all the regular callers. This hit me surprisingly hard, I think in part because I'm remembering how much I enjoyed listening to Breen and the SRN back in the day. Beatdown after the bell, Jordan Breen Show, Friday Live chats. The regular callers like Brandon from NJ where it would sound like Jordan just having a great time talking to a friend about MMA and anything going on in the world. I remember a hilarious troll who used to call in to beatdown after the bell and Jordan loved it, whereas TJ and others would act too cool to enjoy it.
Jordan seemed to be having so much fun and completely in his element/happy place being on those radio shows. Shows how cruel life can be that a brilliant guy like him went from those times to the downward spiral he went on after he left Sherdog.
Damn, RIP.
haven't seen the name in a minute but I remember the radio show, old articles here and other places, etc. He was one of the OGs for sure.
Fairly young still too, i think. RIP
Thanks for the read, brings back memoriesI fondly remember this era of Sherdog and would stay up at ridiculous hours listening to every post PPV show with mostly TJ Desantis kind of whining that he was tired while Jordan would be at 100% and prolonging the show answering to all the regular callers.
When Sherwood sold off Sherdog that was basically the beginning of the end of it all, they cut back massively on the radio and this was around the time that Breen had serious mental health issues and started to spiral. I believe he moved from the maritimes to Toronto and got in with some really bad junkies. He constantly talked about the benefits of hard drugs and hallucinogens. He would insert odd rants on the radio that were out of place, he started to look really weird with the haircuts, was becoming very bitter towards society, etc...
Once TJ was let go they tried doing Patreon with Breen but at this point I think he and all of his old colleagues had a falling out because he was getting drunk and missing shows and was unreliable. He disappeared with only a few social media posts up until now.
Truly a really sad ending to a guy who had he stayed clean and didn't have mental health issues he would of easily been on the same level as an Ariel Helwani and would of been big. He was really good at breaking down MMA but also interacting with the fans. A true shame.
