News RIP Jordan Breen

Take this with a grain of salt, I have no idea what happened, but I found this post from 2 years ago of someone asking where he is, and apparently him slipping into alcoholism.

Yeah, I heard the same. I don't want to draw too many conclusions but I remember hearing him on Sherdog's post-fight show after UFC 230 (or at least I think it was 230) and he sounded awfully wasted. Even his co-host kinda alluded to it towards the end of the show. As a recovering alcoholic myself, it raised an eyebrow, I could sense something was going on.

RIP Jordan, thanks for giving us all you had while you were here.

I remember this guy, although haven't heard from him for a long time until now. RIP.

Rip
remember his live chat back in the day. He was confident BJ would whoop Diaz but we all have those days. Overall he seemed like a smart dude. And way too young to die. Wasnt he in his 40's?

Damn…RIP. Truly one is the best mma journalists ever, mma is such a shit industry that he had to quit cause he couldn’t make a living. He wasn’t just a stenographer, he actually wrote interesting shit that you learned a lot from. I wonder what he passed from, any word on that?

No idea. I just saw Mike Bohn's tweet earlier.

RIP

He taught me a lot about the sport and put me onto a lot of obscure fights back in the day, especially JMMA stuff.

one of the great joys of my budding mma fandom was listening to Breen and co previewing UFC PPVs and then their subsequent post-event analysis on Beatdown After the Bell.

When I heard Sherdog radio was done , that was like equivalent to Trump winning for a leftist in my world

Wow, this hits harder than I would've expected (then again I wouldn't have expected him to die so young). I knew him best by his original username on here when he was just a poster, mysexisartsy.* Any time someone created an MMA trivia thread, I knew my competition was him and Kolchak. He was always cool dropping knowledge on here and loved the sport so much, especially the early Japanese scene. RIP.

*Here's an old thread with a post from him under that name for anyone who wants a trip down memory lane: https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/the-btt-debate.386603/

RIP
Off to the big Sherdog couch in the sky 🕊️

Breen talks about his username timestamped below 51:50

Jordan was a big name back when I first became a member of Sherdog in like 2003 or 2004 back when MMA enthusiasts were the coolest of the cool. Back when we were 6'5 280 lb juggernauts of pure muscle with massive dongs. Now most ya'all are ectomorphic cunts. Or worse... Jon Jones fans. Anyways, RIP Jordan.
