Almost exactly the same thing happened in London and other English cities a few years back. Police shot a man with a long record of violent and drug related crime. They also recovered a weapon at the scene. But there were still protests, and those protests quickly escalated into an orgy of looting, arson and murder.

The vast majority of scum involved didn't know the man the police shot and couldn't care less about him. They simply wanted to burn and pillage as much as possible. Two of the sub-humans were asked by a BBC reporter why they were looting. They replied,

"Because we want to...and the police can't stop us."

A lot of Libtards tried to link the looting to poverty, until it was pointed out that the scum were stealing high-end trainers, PC's etc, rather than food.

if i was stealing for the means of supporting myself i would rather steal high end items than food. Not saying thats why they were stealing it but your "proof" that it wasnt true is stupid reasoning at best.

I should add they are trying to encourage/help organize protests as well.

But I agree their tactics aren't going to result in actual legislation and they know it. Though waiting for due process in wrongful police shootings never works to my knowledge so I'm not sure why they should have any hope for that. I literally can't think of a single guilty verdict against a cop in any wrongful shooting case in my life. It's always as easy as "he went for my gun" and a slap on the wrist maybe tax payers pick up the civil suit tab and the cops been getting paid leave the whole time and now he's on his way back to his normal life.

Their goal is not realistic either - politicians putting forth a bill. When? What needs to be in it? What if it fails to pass? Politics and legislature are messy, time consuming business that generally require compromise and working together in order to accomplish anything meaningful. Can't be forced via blackmail.

I don't like their tactics. Do what we say or we will fuck your shit up. Not very democratic. Collective might of nerds online makes right.

You havent been on the welfare system on a while eh? I was on it quite briefly and it was a fucking ballache to say the least. They threatened to cut my benefits because I applied for a position that wasnt a bog standard job, even though it later led to me getting into employment.

The "woohoo lets get on welfare" party ended long ago. Most chavs are just living of their parents these days as opposed to getting benefits and doing fuck all.

Perfect excuse for the police and army to cull the herd. A close friend of mine was part of an Infantry battalion that was on stand by during the London Riots. If the police had not got the situation under control by the end of the third night, the Army was being sent in. Several hundred veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq, armed to the teeth and spoiling for a fight. It would have looked like a British version of The Purge:icon_twis
