Hell yes!

You do know we have a CFB thread that runs 24/7 in the sports bar right?

Ok, I'll join in. I don't want to hijack the intelligent debate that is going on in this thread. I'll save my aggression for you come October dirty hammer.

I hope one day Jack Savage realizes that not all of us libertarians are jag off pseudo libertarians like the Koch brothers or the Stormfront gang :)

I realize that. Believe it or not, there are at least a couple of libertarians who are pretty close to me. Conversely, though, I hope one day you and other decent right-wing libertarians realize that a big part of the movement in America is driven by pretty base motives. For some of you, the heavy burden on the poor, minorities, and the middle class that libertarian policy would impose is an unfortunate side effect of "fair" laws, but for others, it's the point.

Good for him. Hopefully, his followers will read that and get the message.

How dare you congratulate that known racist. Jack, I thought you were better than this.

What the hell are we supposed to do in a world where we can't trust Jack to tell us what to think about things he knows barely more about that any other person you pass on the street?

Gandhi is gonna have to add this to his sig.

It's funny. Rand Paul actually gets one right, writes a column that I truly agree with 100%, and I give him credit for it, and it just makes his followers even madder.

I'm not a Rand Paul supporter. Not everyone who thinks you're completely full of shit is so easily discredited, Jack.

From a police web site. I find the officer comments at the bottom insightful.

As far as I know you have to be a cop to be a member and post.

That's a good idea since (as far as I know from new reports on past protests) it's usually the police presence and their tactics agitating and inciting.

That is not the case anymore. Five years ago, yeah, you had to have a department email to sign up for policeone and blutube, but not anymore. You can sign up as a "police associate" meaning a dispatcher, or civilian employee of a department which is not vetted. Now, there are more associates posting than vetted cops.

But, a lot of the cops that post there are aggro pieces of shit from what I have read, which is why fewer and fewer cops actually post there anymore.

Policeone is a very good site, especially for the online "policeone academy" five minute videos. They are perfect for role calls. I usually show one of those videos and maybe a humorous or intense video from the regular site, then maybe tell a story about a similar topic, or ask one of the officers if they have encountered similar.

Police One has turned into a disgrace. Some of the comments are just unbelievable, even from some.of the members who are cops and been around a while.

Thanks for the review and clarification on their posting policies. From what I've seen the coverage on there is balanced and the comments are (from a PR perspective) unseemly.

Also thanks for your tip on the police stories thread. I got through a bunch and need to get back to it.

I might have missed it but I was expecting a reply about the tendencies of protests turning to riots. I thought you might have some insight.

They should clean that up. The rest of the site is better than many would give the "pigs" credit for.

I will never understand American culture even slightly.

Why do they worship blacks and elevate blacks to mythological status?

Kids get shot all the time and nobody cares but when they're black tens of thousands of daytime TV-watching housewives and guys in nightgown-length jerseys take to the streets with their black-themed cardboard signs.

They literally don't even know what happened or who the cop is.
Is it just a social event, an excuse to be on the internet?
Is it systematic brainwash from all the cartoonish evil white/sweet black history taught in public schools?
Is it just the natural outcome of a wealthy/soft/sheltered/gullible ethnicity becoming subservient to a more streetwise/nationalistic ethnicity?

I've lived in the US longer than any other country I've lived in but I always feel like a spectator. The dynamic of the submissive white majority, worshiped/exalted blacks and practically invisible Asians/Latinos/Natives/etc is just very strange and depressing.

I agree with Paul on this, too, especially the disproportionate application of justice to minorities and the way it skews perception. Doesn't feed me any sympathy for the maniacs committing unrelated crimes as a result.
