Its mostly an English thing, they were pretty violent and local factions would face each other after games. After the tragedy in Heysel stadium in Belgium, where some 30 italians died trapped by Liverpool fans, Europe became more hard handed on them.

Its a pretty shitty comparision to Muslim violence, just because drunk people cannot behave in a game, does not make it right for a foreigner to do the same using religion as an excuse.

Both things are violent, but the intent are completely different, Hooligans are just trying to beat rivals, while Muslims are terrorizing the country that allowed them in, wanting them to change.

I literally posted a video stream from a quran buring in Göteborg itt a couple of hours ago. Removed it when I realized it was from February and not current. It's just a slice of life example, of course. But it gives you a sense of what city life is like here. The people you see in the stream are the norm in most of the city, rather than the exception.
