I do notice that a lot of so-called "right wing" dudes seem to agree with Cenk when he goes on one of his passionate rants. It shows that it isn't really the Republican/conservative platform that's so popular, they've just presently done a better job at communicating to the people that they give a damn and aren't just establishment lapdogs.

If the Democrats manage to get fired up about issues that people actually care about, while toning down their rhetoric about the loony, niche stuff that hasn't really found much popular support, they'll be right back in it, in the next elections.

That is the remarkable beauty of the US system our founders took so much thought and care to define. It is never about Republican vs Democrat, Conservative vs Liberal, the definition of those terms are not constants and really arbitrary. They just represent the opposing forces that exist in all interactions. The beauty of the US system is how it continues to maintain a balance and forward momentum by allowing the forces to expand but never letting one force overwhelm the other causing us to get carried off too far in one direction.

I get what you're saying but the biggest problem with Dems are liberals/moderates that don't actually do anything. I think of MLK statement where he says:

People keep saying Dems have this rhetoric about loony, niche stuff but their bigger issue is keeping things the same once things get uncomfortable for them. An example is the whole Gaza thing. A good chunk of the Dem voting block did not vote or voted for Trump all because Harris never agreed to help stop what is happening in Gaza. Liberals/moderates I find often work directly against what their platform wants so you don't get a true alternative. You just get Diet Republican. Repubs, on the other hand, are openly for supporting dumb things which ultimately support corps.
