Crime RFK Jr wants to send people on Anti depressants to do forced labor at Farms

So basically a rehabilitation center that emphasizes physical activity and outdoors over a depressing clinic. Sounds good to me.

Especially for depressed people who feel hopeless. Working with your hands, growing stuff makes people feel fulfilled.

Mother Jones makes it sound like they’ll be digging moats at the border lol

Not all camps are bad, lefties
(assuming RFK Jr. wants to put people on SSRIs in camps) the article doesn't say this only applies to people sent to psych clinics; just says people who take SSRIs. Forcing them to be at a camp instead of trying to balance their serotonin levels can make things worse.

This sounds like something out of China. You can call it whatever name you want but that doesn't change the fact it is some sort of forced camp to force behavior modification.

Here's what the propaganda article actually quotes him as saying:
creating wellness farms—drug rehabilitation farms, in rural areas all over this country.” He added, “I’m going to create these wellness farms where they can go to get off of illegal drugs, off of opiates, but also illegal drugs, other psychiatric drugs, if they want to, to get off of SSRIs, to get off of benzos, to get off of Adderall, and to spend time as much time as they need—three or four years if they need it—to learn to get reparented, to reconnect with communities.”

Where do you guys get this idea that they're going to force people into these programs for taking legal medication?

This is what you get when you put an unstable person who believes conspiracy theories in charge of the health dept. It's madness, but they will clap like seals for it. I am very thankful I don't have a child of school age.

Besides for claiming a worm ate his brain and he's mentally impaired from it, RFK was also a heroin addict, by his own admission, for 14 whole years. He's also jacked to the tits on roids.

Fuck yeah he was and fuck yeah he is

Not only will he understand what its like to feel and think as an addict does, he displayed the mental fortitude to quit, improve his life and become the secretary of health.

If that's not inspiration for people struggling with addiction I don't know what is.

Kudos to this man.

Being out in nature really does work. Its like all my senses switch to HD, my mind is quiet, my ram increases, and my breathing becomes easier.

Its as if being surrounded by powerlines, air pollution, constant noise, reduced oxygen levels, lights on 24/7, paint fumes, and eating chemicals actually has some kind of undesirable effects on your brain

He didn't display fortitude by becoming secretary of health. He went back on all his recent past criticisms of trump, got on his knees and kissed the ring. That's the opposite of fortitude.

Depressed people on doctor prescribed medicine are also not entirely synonymous with heroin addicts.

Their efficacy and overprescription could be a topic for discussion, but a juicehead whose brain was eaten by worms is not that guy.

I missed the bit about "if they want to". I rescind my earlier comment then. If it's a choice then I don't have a problem. I have an issue if people are coerced, pressured or forced into giving up SSRIs and attending these 'farms'. Just as I would be against forcing people to take SSRIs.

I am sure these retreats will be funded by this administration. This is just more bullshit smoke and mirrors while they angle to pass another massive tax cut package that blows up the debt/deficit.

Yep I went from living on 18 acres with a huge yard and woods behind me with the closest neighbor 200 ft away, two living in fort Lauderdale. It wreaks havoc on your well-being

It always blows my mind when I see a sherdogger admit he got it wrong.
Kudos to you my man.

You don't think it takes fortitude to recognise and admit you were wrong?

It's way easier to just double down and refuse to say you might not have been right.

You're about to be the perfect example.

What a time to be alive. You take anti depressants and you get set to a concentration camp to do forced labor.
We have reached the Tyson Zone with this administration, nothing they put out that is batshit fucking crazy will even move the needle. I wonder if that was RFK Jr’s idea or his brain worms idea.
Funny thing about addictiveness. I asked my doctor about that possibility once regarding ADHD meds like Ritalin. He said that if you're taking them to feel or manage daily life better and they work, why would you worry if they're addictive?

And FTR, I've been on a ton of different meds because the current state of the art is that nothing works on everyone, even with identical symptoms, so you generally end up trying different ones you find something that works. I've never been addicted to any of them. They're also very low risk in that the biggest complaint about psycho-active medications is how bad the side-effects can be. Who can get addicted to something with all sorts of shitty side effects that doesn't even do the job it's supposed to do?
