Crime RFK creating a list/registry of people with Autism

Except that is what is not happening.
They are taking your medical records from your Doctor and then putting you on a list. They are not asking you if you want to be on a list. Fox News has broken you so badly you are OK with being put on a list about your medical history involuntarily because your team is the one making the list.
I bet you will care when they make a list of people with Erectile Dysfunction.
Put me on the list as super sperm donor

Is he getting names and such or just medical records to look for common denominator links that could show a possible cause.

He believes this is not nature but a man made cause for this.

RFK is going to try to introduce exogenous testosterone to people on that list. He is trying to create super humans.

if anyone gets rejected from finger painting school we're fucked

The complete moral collapse of the right wing has been equally hilarious as it is dangerous.

It's passed the hilarious point to me. I used to scoff at the idea of the country breaking apart but now I'm not so sure. The maga people are beyond comic book villainy at this point.

The irony of people calling themselves “patriots” while destroying their country from within, all in the name of an 80 year old convicted felon and Adderall addicted domestic terrorist is hilariously pathetic.

Now take your argument about complying with government regulations, or that it's no big deal to obtain data, and ask yourself why this side of the aisle opposes a national gun registry?

If we don't want government collecting and categorizing private data because of potential abuses, that should be just as applicable to medical data as anything else.
Except it doesn't say anywhere in the constitution that someone's health records shouldn't be shared to conduct a study. It does say in the constitution that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Although that notion has already been completely trampled on so I guess it's no big deal.

What a load of malarkey. You don't need a registry with PII for autism research. Stop being disingenuous and just say you'll applaud anything this admin does, no matter how gross.
Where does it say that there's PII? And again, if it meets government privacy regulations in terms of handling that data, what is the big deal?

Also, how exactly are you supposed to follow up with people if you have no idea who they are? You know, how any scientific study works?

You can still obtain all that data without creating a list with people’s names.
How do you do medium to long term research and follow ups without knowing who the people who received treatment, were exposed to harmful substances, etc., if you can't correlate that back to that person? And again, if it meets healthcare privacy regulations, why are you concerned?

This random canadian guy has spoken. Case closed. Shut the thread down.

The fact that you remember that I am originally from Canada (although I guess you conveniently forgot that I have been a citizen of USA for many years now); which I probably haven't posted about in years, and you feel the need to bring it up to discredit what I post says more about you than me. I legitimately don't even know who you are or what you post, but I guess I live rent free in your head. Maybe reconsider how you spend your time.

So now you’re a former canadian but current American as compared to what you used to cosplay as, a natural born American. Yeah, you’ve quoted me multiple times in the past while giving away your hand as not actually being American so it’s cool to see you learn from your missteps, but no one’s buying your bullshit.

This doesn’t make sense. Researchers don’t need your PII.

"While the selected researchers will be able to access and study the private medical data, Bhattacharya said they will not be able to download it. He promised "state of the art protections" to protect confidentiality."

Yeah, riiiiiiiiight.

Look at the number of people here minimizing and brushing this off. It's really sickening.

No fucking integrity or morals.

These are the same people who absolutely lost their proverbial sh*t when they thought the Government was going to intervene in their medical affairs, bypassing HIPPA, because they felt it was their God-given right to spread covid. A "covid registry" was one of the things they screamed about the most.

Isnt it amazing how when you say the Government they prefer is going to create a registry of autistic kids, suddenly that's not so big a deal?

It's almost as if when the action in-question comes from one of the least qualified people to do it, that makes it acceptable.
