Except that is what is not happening.
They are taking your medical records from your Doctor and then putting you on a list. They are not asking you if you want to be on a list. Fox News has broken you so badly you are OK with being put on a list about your medical history involuntarily because your team is the one making the list.
I bet you will care when they make a list of people with Erectile Dysfunction.

I don't watch Fox news. Last time I watched it was election night. I don't watch MSM media, you however, sound like a walking episode of the View.

The point being is are you OK with the government getting your medical information from your doctor without your permission and then making a list for all to see. Sorry I do not trust the government not to fuck it up or use the list for something more nefarious. If they want to make a list of how you are registered to vote, or something else innocuous, that is fine, but my medical information should be between me and my doctor alone. They can still study Autism without naming names.
For a group that notoriously distrusts the government, it's weird you give a former drug addict riddled with brain worms all your trust.

What's next, is the government going to want to have access to people's COVID-19 vaccination status too?

Without sarcasm, I'm not exactly sure why this is a big deal. There's a lot of cases where just speaking to someone leads you to know whether or not they have autism. It isn't exactly a hidden disease. If they comply with government regulations on handling of medical records then why is it a big deal to obtain data?
 
It's not a gun registry so people should be okay with the government creating a registry based on their private medical records.

I admittedly don't really care about this. Anyone who supported RFK, Jr. signed up for this schtick. And everyone who didn't support him, knew this type of thing was coming.

Now take your argument about complying with government regulations, or that it's no big deal to obtain data, and ask yourself why this side of the aisle opposes a national gun registry?

If we don't want government collecting and categorizing private data because of potential abuses, that should be just as applicable to medical data as anything else.

What a load of malarkey. You don't need a registry with PII for autism research. Stop being disingenuous and just say you'll applaud anything this admin does, no matter how gross.

You can still obtain all that data without creating a list with people’s names.
