Reyes said he was crazy on analysing JJ...

Reyes won.

I hope Reyes goes on a run man.. he has always been at least entertaining.. I'd have to watch the fight again, it sure was close.. but I am glad humble Reyes is back now and making noise, he is fun and devastating.

He was definitely obsessed with following Jon around on Twitter and talking shit after the loss. Jon would post something about a family member in the hospital and the first reply would be Dom Bandicoot being a moron <lol>

Point is, he was psychopath level of obsessed, he was undefeated but it seems defeating JJ was his life goal to the point he would stalk JJ. Still, he lost, after all that, being undefeated, younger, next generation... He still lost, as JJ turned the tided in round 3 by getting the most visible strikes (like Ank vs Pereira round 3), by channeling his takedown abilities to tire Reyes and and get close to KO'ing him in the 4th round and in the 5th, Reyes was on survival mode... With round 3 being the turning point, close round, but one which Jone managed to get the most effective striking as Reyes seemed more effected and was slowing down by Jones kicks to the body, jabs to the face...

It's crazy how instead of complimenting JJ for breaking through another new generation, an undefeated abscessed fighter that seemed to live to beat JJ, and winning round 3 legitimately and then, controlling rounds 4 and 5... Ppl only talk about Reyes, who lost and whose loss broke him down mentally for a while until he was like "yeah, JJ beat me, but I still put a legendary performance".

even funnier he cant beat the worst version of jones

Tom losing fair and square when he really thought he was the one to beat JJ, even more so coming off the first two round with a 2-0... Tô Be so close but lose 3, 4 and 5 must suck. Specially since he was still in good stamina shape in the third round, but JJ pressed more and landed the shots that had the most visible effect, plus being the one advancing and controlling the action place 90% of the time. That round was JJ, the same way exactly Ankalaev slightly edged out Alex in round 3. In round 4 Reyes started strong, maybe he knew deep down he could have lost the third one, but JJ's will to win is unparalleled... He stopped Reyes' last wind which was catching JJ in the 4th round pretty good with chain wrestling until he got him down and sapped his stamina. Then Reyes was in shaky legs and saved by the bell in the 4th round and he started to become wobble from JJ's attacks. And in the 5th round, Reyes was basically on survival mode and running from the action.

Was one of the toughest fight in JJ's career for sure, but he showed again that he can deal with adversity and pull off a win that is very close but very fair. Ppl expect JJ to dominate tho so it's no wonder you see ppl saying outrageous things like "biggest robbery" as if they were watching DDP vs Sean 2. Reality, Reyes was an undefeated up comer who by history would be the guy to take on a dominant champion, like many champions fell in that one match in the past, but like Gustafsson admitted as for his first fight, Reyes didn't pass the test. He got close, but JJ was still slightly better, with a close 3rd round that really was JJ's win. Reyes was so devastated by the loss that he would say he couldn't accept it, he wanted to do something about it, but that was his career dark turn — because he knew he had lost (or at least, that he didn't win clearly, like, it was close and JJ was better) but couldn't come to terms with the fact he was defeated by someone he thought it was his destiny to defeat. JJ lives rent free on his head, he has PTSD from that loss...

Curious enough, when Jiri Prochazka was scheduled to fight Reyes, when Jiri was asked "how he felt fighting someone who some ppl believe beat Jon Jones" and Jiri said "first off, Reyes lost to Jon Jones. I saw the right and Jon Jones won, it was a right decision and now I'm going to be the second person to defeat Reyes!" ....

"I'm winning the fight handily against someone who many people thing is GOAT so I better take the pedal off the gas a little so that perhaps I can lose this fight, hell yeah"

5 years and that dude is still riding that Jon Jones fight, even worse than Gus.

Fighters with long arms like Heyes give Jones trouble. That's why he was so desperate to fight Miocic, who has relatively short arms for his size and whose body he could target with kicks, and begged for that fight for a long time. Besides he was old and slow, something Jones could take advantage of too.
