Rewatched Sonnen vs Silva I

You have like 2% of all the posts on Sherdog and it is filled with quality like this.

Interesting, never heard Silva was injured coming in to that fight. Would make sense how that fight unfolded. Do you have any sources?

Watch his docu "Like water". There's footage of him struggling in training camp with the rib injury and also telling Nogueira that he insists on submitting Sonnen while Nog is urging him to go for the KO.

I will never forget that fight, it was insane. That was a great event UFC 117

Chael looked for a way out in that fight. If you followed his career, you’d see that pretty clearly. Chael was notorious for being submitted in the second round in fights he was winning. He basically gave Anderson the position lmao

Fight of two dirty cheaters.

Anderson cheated so much in the 2nd fight too lol:

The mental gymnastics that Chael's brainless fans will leap through is pathetic. The guy was a great competitor, but trying to compare his achievements to Silva's is laughable. The better fighter won, both times, and anyone attempting to label the first fight a fluke is a moron. Chael lost via submission NINE times over the course of his career. Get over it.

There's actually 3 taps there. 2 of them were soft because cheeky Sonnen was going for the BJJ phantom tap.
And OP is stupid enough to say that it was only a 1 tapper. Sonnen was paving the way for Conor to tap out like a bitch.
