7, solid movie. Be cool if it had more fucked up stuff like The Fly.

Saw it a couple of years ago. I think I enjoyed it but quickly forgot about it and now I have it mixed with Elysium.

Just watched the trailer to make sure what it was.

I really enjoyed it.

Also really enjoyed this.

That was a good movie, shame the graphics will dated if I rewatch it.

Fell asleep in the theater/10

I thought it was good. And I think Sharlto Copley or whatever his name is a pretty good/versatile fucking actor

FALSE

It was the big studios that fucked with his vision.

Short films can sometimes hide weaknesses that features can expose.

I actually did watch that and a bunch of the shorts in that collection last night though. Pretty good, and whoever does his effects work is still knocking it out of the park. It was kind of bizarre and creepy, though, in how that collection just randomly showed up in my Netflix recommendations after talking about him in here.

I thought it was great, but a bit of a ripoff of Alien Nation.

But I guess that’s ok as seemingly nobody remembers that movie or its spinoff TV series.

I only saw elysium out of his other movies it was good but nothing like district 9.
I watched Elysium and district 9 when I was a teenager and thought Elysium was way better. District 9 is considered to be the superior movie of the two so maybe if I rewatched I'd have a different opinion

I liked it a lot when it came out, but never had the desire to revisit.

Love it, such a fresh take on Alien invasion movies. Looking foward to D10 if it ever comes out.

I'm convinced that Blomkamp sold his soul to make this amazing movie, and the Devil took his talent away immediately after it's release.

Pretty much. He has been blatantly incompetent since.

It's really good.
I got a recommendation that has a quite similiar vibe and amazing sci-fi feeling to it: The Arrival (2016). A bit more slow-paced if you don't mind.
Also has great sound design, just like District 19. Watch if you haven't yet.

Good flick. 7 / 10 for me.
