Books across your computer desk

I don't have books on my computer desk. I keep them on the bookshelf where they belong.

Perhaps you should buy a book about de-cluttering your space?

I have that also, one book shelf for the music one for the sports one for the westerns.

I simply like having those books I mentioned right above me, kinda like candles and incense more a mood thing.

And who ever said books are suppose to be anywhere in particular?

Hell, right down here a dozen books about them Blues, Country and Rock & Roll. Add.....Quran, History of the NWA (rasslin') College Football by SI. A great book about.........Frank Frazetta Book Cover Art.

Superman: Birthright.

Stargirl: The lost children

Both of the books of blood Volumes

When it comes to the westerns I zero in on these five authors....

Louis L' Amour
Zane Grey
Luke Short
Max Brand
JT Edson and his Dusty Fog storires.

Anyone have someone I should add to those?

Here comes the bragging, we bought this home because of a lot of reasons one was the huge two car garage, I had every intentions of......gym, recording studio and man cave, which it is. I had to have somewhere to store all those books and all that music, actually had shelves built just for that reason, can't open the garage door. shelves are bulit there.

Well over 10,000 books, and at my age I better start getting more serious about my reding or I won't make ir. Same with the music, well over 10,000 CD, records, tapes combined.

Yep, a history geek so I have them old blues, jazz, country etc. Tons of music.

Then there are the magazines those I have to keep in boxes simply because I have nowhere to display them, football, boxing, pro wrestling, bodybuiding, blues, track & field mags from as far back as the 50's.

A horder would work but a hoarder with a system, ha~~~~~~~

Have a few CD's right over there,,,,

James Brown Live at the Apollo
Cotten Club Days.....Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Lena Horne
Robert Johnson The Comptete Recordings
Tom Waits The Early Days
Mountain Blues....a 4 CD set of hillbilly music from way back when
Sun Records...a 3 CD set of that labels early stuff like the first recordings of....Elvis, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis

While here.....

Someone once asked me,,,,,,are you really a Sir?

Of course not I got that from the rasslers, ya know......Count Billy Varga, Sir Alan Garfield, Lord Bliears, Baron Leoni, thinking....colorful.

Then there's......Duke Ellington, Count Basie, King Oliver, Prince.

Mary Shelly Frankenstein, hard to believe a teenage girl wrote that classic, some consider it to be the first Sci Fi novel.
For context, she was 18 when she started writing it and 19 when she finished. Yes, very impressive, but still she was an adult.

Well lets see....

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A teenager using his phone.
A teenager, or teen, is someone who is 13 to 19 years old. They can also be called "adolescents". The laws on what teenagers may do vary between countries.

Yep, like I said she was a teenager.

Meditations - Marcus Aurelius
Play like Eric Johnson guitar tablature book
Rush - Deluxe guitar tablature book.
I have ‘meditations’ in this book on stoicism with 3 other heavy hitters included on my desk. After reading and practicing the teachings for some time, I can safely say I’ll never be a stoic. Not in the cards.

I got an instapot cook book on my desk too. Nothing too deep there.

Wtf...... Is this the 1980's do you still use a Filofax,

I've got a balance ball in the middle of a multi function room, I'm usually found doing dwarf goat yoga whilst digesting information through my neural implant........

Fucking amateurs..............

Damn , you must be the only other person I've seen reference the JT Edson novels .

Love those books . The originals though , not the sanitized modern ones .

Started picking them up on a holiday in the 80s and have pretty much the whole lot now as physical books and most of the modern versions on Kindle.

He wrote quite a decent Western for a Brit...

Never used a hooker, but I think Zeno and crew would definitely look down on it. Buzzkills. Fentanyl killed cocaine for me... Danger, Will Robinson!

Guess we are left with how to make Korean short ribs in the old instapot.

Bought a box of westerns at a yardsale a few years ago, one was JT Edson and a Floating Outfit story with Dusty Fog, as ya know great stuff, a short little cat who knows martial arts in the old west AND a fast draw, gotta love it. That was about 30 Edson books ago.

Edson is a Brit, I didn't know that,
