Resident Evil 3 Remake

For people complaining about the length, I got almost 9 hours out of it. That's the same as a full play through of RE2. Only do you get a 19/20 hour game if you play it twice with both characters.

For these people finishing it in 5-6 hours, they must just run through, don't look at anything, skip items, enemies, etc. What fun is that?
Nope. I made sure to clear every room. I had to do a fair amount of backtracking because I got lost or had too much stuff in my inventory. I was intentionally taking my time and I was about 4 hours 50 min.

In comparison, RE2 took me about 11 hours to beat the first time and about 8 when I played it last week for the second time.

I'm not a fast gamer by any means.

It's a huge step backwards. I'm honestly still sort of shocked at how bad it was. I guess in the end I'm almost glad that it was only about half the length of 2 because I found most of the game painfully bad. I really am just shaking my head at how small this game is now that I am thinking back on it. The actual city area is tiny. If you played the demo you saw a lot of it.

It's basically a collection of action pieces with a few small areas to explore.
I'm glad I didn't day 1 buy it like I thought about. I was surprised at the variety of the criticisms, GMan went hard and your corroborations put the nail in the coffin for me. Very disappointing. If they do an RE4 remake they best take their time and do it right like RE2.

Hahaha , you know Dizzy pissed his money away.

That obvious said, is mr x just as annoying or is it more justifiable?

He basically starts out exactly like Mr X, pursuing you while not actually being a real threat. About a third of the way through the game that stops entirely and he just becomes an evolving, reoccurring boss fight. He looks cool but that's it.

Oh boy, after the mixed reception of RE3make, I'm not exactly sure how well this 'Ya want some more REmakes?' is going to be received.

Do we want more REmakes as good as the RE2make? Fuck yes.

Do we want a rushed development of RE:CV? Fuck no.

Hopefully they remake RE4.

I really hope they don't.

If anything, they can release a 4K 120FPS version of it for the next-gen consoles with updated textures and graphical enhancements.

But RE4 was extremely 'Lightning In The Bottle' for the mid-2000s, for all the same reasons I mentioned a page or two back for it being campy. So, a full remake...

no fucking give me dino crisis or breath of fire

DLC seems generous for how much they cut out from this game. The original was already short but they had the nerve to cut even more content. Should’ve just started with the superior resident evil 4 for the remake treatment, this was DLC.
They cut out certain parts, but extended others. You spend way more time in the hospital than you did in the original. Overall the length of the game is almost the same as the original. I just wish they spent more time on this tbh because there's an amazing game here but it's just a bit disappointing after RE 2 Remake.

I got bought a Guncon and Guncon 2

Got me some fucking Resident Evil Survivor, Resident Evil Survivor 2: Code Veronica, and Resident Evil Dead Aim

So.. why is this one a mixed bag of reviews as opposed to the 2nd one?

4/10 and that even feels slightly generous. The only thing this game has going for it was built in the same engine as RE2make. It would have been passable as $30 DLC but as a $60 game it's terrible. Easily beat in under 5 hours in my first try and I didn't feel like I was rushing at all. If you want a short, cheesy as fuck action game set in the RE universe than by all means. Otherwise save your money. I'll be trading my copy back to Amazon to try and recoup some cash.

You can tell an RE fan from a casual fan. You didnt finish in 5 hours on a first playthrough without rushing from point A to B with no exploring, you just didnt . Seeing the 5 hours something at the end screen doesnt mean the game was 5 hours long. The game only counts your "gameplay" not the cutscenes and dialogue etc. This is nothing new in RE games.

Its what all these casuals and reviewers were spouting, and damn of course they expose their nature. Timer also doesnt count reloading saves etc.

There are more difficulty modes if you want more difficulty.

You can say its a 4/10 thats fine, but yall should stop spouting that 5 hour nonsense.

The length of the game, mainly. They changed some stuff up from the original like taking out a certain area and extending another one, but they did that in the RE2 Remake so I doubt that's that big of an issue.

The same thing that happened to the original.

Following an all time classic game with a shorter, leaner and more action/set piece heavy game. But the original still had more content than this one.

Its a great game but its always gonna look worse because its following a masterpiece.

Its a solid 8/10 game with amazing visuals and a delight to romp through on a first playthrough but it lacks the replayability of its original counterpart, has missing areas but people always ignore the improvements that RE3make has, such as the better nemesis boss fights.

Its fun and remixes the original. Jill is literally the best she's ever been, people always focus on negative and not the great shit the game has done.

Add that to idiots claiming its a 5 hour game, and then you look at the top of their screen with 9 hour playtimes, it'll add to the mixed reaction to the game.

It also suffers from the same problem that every single Resident Evil game suffers from which is the first area is by far the best area in the game. 1 had the mansion, 2 had the RPD, 3 has the city, 4 had the village. I would have liked it if they expanded the city area more, gave you some more time running away from Nemesis in his first form, and maybe interacting with civilians more.

I will say that this is easily my favourite version of Jill Valentine. She's such a fucking badass in this game.

I know RE games suffer from that but they really need to figure out a way of implementing end game areas that are as expansive without making things too linear. You have to make it linear to wrap up the story but they need to design it in a way thats just as engaging as, say, the Mansion etc.

I still think the Mansion is the best area theyve ever done, and just looks better in the remake.

Casual fan? I've been a huge fan of this series since
the very first game came out. You want to talk about nonsense, your entire post is nonsense. Everytime you disagree with me and you want to tell me how wrong I am is nonsense. This game is made for retards like you.

Completely different game and genre, but I felt that God of War did that well. You think the game could be ending at multiple points in the story as the new areas got more linear, then the map just opens up even bigger than before.

Agree that the mansion is the best and the most iconic. RE1 Remake is easily my favourite Resident Evil game.

You literally are retarded. Read the whole fucking sentence. You're either 8 years old or an adult with no reading comprehension skills.

If youve played the original, youd like this game. RE3 is my favourite old school RE game so ofcourse I want a perfect RE3make that improves the downfalls of the original game.

Its not the 9.5 outta 10 that the original is, but its a good game, and not a 4 or 5 some other nonsense reviewers are giving it.

Its a solid 8 outta 10 game...
