Movies Reservoir Dogs has a terrible ending

Mr White is a long time friend of Joe yet for some reason takes the side of Mr Orange to the point he would kill Joe for him?

Mr White thinks there is a rat, Joe and his son both say it's Mr Orange, Mr White finds that impossible so he is ready to kill his friend and his son over it? LoL

This film is overrated imo not even a top 5 Tarantino film imo
Movie was a shit stain. And then to top it off they have Mr. Orange confess to Mr. White. “I’m a cop!” Lame

RD is my favorite Tarantino film, and one of my favorite movies in general. It has that special intangible something a movie needs to have to reach that next level. For me anyway.
It was a grimy piece of shit.

White had an intense paternal bond forged with Orange during the crazy events of the day. So he was very emotional about protecting him.

On top of that, one thing people haven’t mentioned, White also just watched Orange blow a soccer mom away during the escape. So in his head he’s taking it for granted, ‘no WAY this guy’s a cop, Joe must be wrong’.

The ending to No Country for old man was pretty whack!

It's been a very long time since I've seen it but I thought Mr. White blamed himself for Orange getting shot, like Orange saved him or something like that. So he felt very obligated to protect orange after that.

And that's why he got away in the end.

Moral of the story is always be professional and never let personal feelings get in the way of a job.

Theres the theory hes the waiter in pulp fiction in thurmans and travoltas restaurant table since tarantinos films happen in same universe

(Waiter is played by buscemi)

.....he didn't get away.

You hear the cops arrest him, off screen.

I remember first watching it in the backseat of a range rover on a trip and the movie was amazing top notch. I was telling myself why I didn't see the film sooner lol

Well he's the only one alive. And after a few years he gets released and becomes a waiter like @Cole train mentioned. Ironic, considering his stance on tipping.

It might also be that pulp fiction was before reservoir dogs since pink mentions working min wage job that society deemed not tip worthy.

Who knows lol

Vince Vega and Mr Blonde (Vic Vega) were legit brothers in the QT universe.

Michael Madsen was originally wanted as Vince Vega too, but was committed to Wyatt Earp. Daniel Day Lewis then campaigned for the part before Travolta was eventually cast.

Weird how these things evolve.

Never thought of that. But ya. Sound logic

You are telling me that the waiter in pulp fiction is the same character, Mr pink?

I know it's a shared universe with the vega brothers but I think in that case it's just using the same actors. Tim Roth is also in both movies and he's clearly not playing the same character

Ill have to watch it again but I swore I heard gun shots from the police on Mr pink and I assumed he was killed due to that narrative fitting in with the bleak ending where everyone involved in the robbery dies.

I don't know if he was supposed to be the same character. I never heard that theory until cole train mentioned it in this thread.

It's probably just a fun fan theory, like how I like to watch that one episode of saved by the bell where Jesse does drugs and then immediately watch showgirls afterwards and pretend it's the same character after running away and changing her name.

Love this movie. I had the same issue as OP when I first saw it and since, but that is the irony of "Honor among thieves" isn't it? They can never really trust each other. I don't know about the "father/son" bonding, but I know for sure that very intense situations do cause people to bond.

Mr. White was furious that Mr. Blonde started shooting everybody and blamed him for the botched robbery. He was mad as hell at Joe for putting Mr. Blonde on the job. That was my read on his distrust in Joe's decision making. Mr. White clearly was having problems processing everything including the fact that there was a "rat in the house" and was sticking to his gut. He was wrong.

Mr. Pink was the only one who kept his cool and get out of there with the diamonds, if only temporarily.

I always thought Mr.Pink escapes but if you have the sound up loud you can clearly hear gun fire promptly after he leaves, leaving it open to interpretation if he actually escaped or not.
