Mr White is a long time friend of Joe yet for some reason takes the side of Mr Orange to the point he would kill Joe for him?

Mr White thinks there is a rat, Joe and his son both say it's Mr Orange, Mr White finds that impossible so he is ready to kill his friend and his son over it? LoL

This film is overrated imo not even a top 5 Tarantino film imo

This movie is the 2nd best behind Pulp Fiction. It had great, intriguing dialogue. If you don't agree well suck my balls and I've reported you because real men report other men on a manly website like Sherdog.

Caring for the younger man instilled a paternal bond and a sense of responsibility for the his survival. Presumably Mr. White has some unresolved issues on this front in his past. Joe's loyalty to the lunatic who started the whole mess was well placed but made no sense to Mr. White.

How many times do you think Mr. White and Joe held hands?

How often do you imagine there was cradling and reassurance between Joe and Mr. White?

Ya I got that sort of fatherly vibe as well that white had with orange.

And the dialogue between white and Joe in the office wasn't exactly like two best friends. There was a degree of latitude between them but I always felt that it was more of a long term work aquantence then family between them.

White and Joe struck me as an adversarial relationship that was also monetarily beneficial to both parties which is why they were willing to deal with each other.

Feels like it's hard to trust anyone in that situation, easy to see why you'd trust the dude who's about to die most imo.

No the dialogue is overly nihilistic and mean spirited IMO... it reeks of 90's toxicity. Tarantino needed to lighten up and thank god he did.
<Lmaoo>

Genuinely what do you mean by "90's toxicity" ?

It’s Tarantino’s best IMO.

The idea is that mr white refuses to believe he’s the rat bc of his sense of loyalty to him for saving his life and how he’d mentally break(which he later does) if he was the rat.

Just like, thinking its cool to have so many f-bombs per sentence. That kind of stuff doesn't hold up well IMO. Tarantino's like a virgin rant... it's very out dated. I cringe when I go back and listen to this dialogue and remember thinking how cool and edgy it was. It's what would be called edgelord nowadays.

An edgelord is someone on an internet forum who deliberately talks about controversial, offensive, taboo, or nihilistic subjects in order to shock other users in an effort to appear cool, or edgy.

Mr White saw Orange take a bullet....not from a cop of course. But White bonded with him and White is also sort of emotional.

RD, PF, and KB are the best QT movies

that is the way those characters talk

I feel like Tarantino films >>> Internet words like Edgelord though lol.

To view an almost 30 year old film through the lense of a Cuck/Soyboy/Edgelord etc world is more cringe than anything.

Early Tarantino isn’t bad. Plenty of other movies have tons of fuck bombs. His over use of the n-bomb later annoys the shit out of me

Yeah feel you. When I was a teenager I thought his dialogue in movies was so edgy and cool.. now that i'm in my 30's it just seems.. childish almost to a certain point. I still like his movies, but I don't think they're the best films i've ever seen anymore.

I really liked Hateful 8 most recently, that movie was pretty damn good.

White felt responsible for Orange and hated Blonde (who's actions he blamed on Joe). White was also about to shoot Pink over it. Seems pretty consistent to me.

Oh come on. That shit still happens today. Nevermind the fact that we are talking about a round table of low class criminals who are trying to posture up on one another.

Ffs man. There was a clear difference in how orange talked to his supervisor vs the criminals. Clearly. And on purpose.

I'll point you towards the anecdote that orange had memorized about running into the cops with the police dog in the bathroom. Just encase you didn't catch it.

Geez man.

I think Tarantino did always bring a degree of heart to his films though, it was more those who aped his style who tended towards edginess for its own sake, *cough* Guy Richie *cough*
