REPORT: UFC bids due this week (bidders named)

I know man, what is he thinking?!

The Chinese will give a fighters union?! If you've ever lived or spent time in China, you'd realise how fucking ridiculously outlandish that idea is. If anything, conditions will get worse.

Be careful what you wish for.

Plus the Chinese are known for paying higher salary too ;)

I really hope it isnt sold to China. If you think the UFC is "all about the money" now? Shhiiittttt, you havent seen nothin yet.

His update
The big news of the day revolves around talk of a UFC sale. We have an updated story on it in the current issue of the Observer. At this point, there is no indication a sale has gone through but the bidding period is coming to a close with two new lead bidders, a joint bid of WME/IMG and the Dalian Wanda Media Group of China which reportedly includes the Kraft Family that owns the New England Patriots, and a group bid of a number of investors from China and Hong Kong. The bids are in the $4 billion range, give or take a little in either direction. Bryan and I also talked about this extensively on last night's Observer radio show.

Interesting that two bidders came together.
That would seem to keep UFC "american-ized" but get them into China as well.

I'm willing to bet they wait until after UFC 200 to tell everyone.

Before UFC 200?

Am I the only one that's really not excited about this? Dana is an obnoxious, lying jackass that throws fighters under the bus in unbelievable ways, but he also built this company from virtually nothing. The Fertitas seem corrupt as possible, but there is a reason they're selling a company they paid pocket change for for over 4 billion dollars. They've created a product that millions are drawn to. This wasn't inevitable. I'll be thrilled if the new owners manage it well (and more professionally), but I'm definitely nervous.

It will be announced on Raw live Monday. The ufc will take part in the draft.
This is day after the Money in the Bank ppv. Shane will run it. Stephanie gets wwe.

I feel this way. I'm not scrotally sold much changes, but I'm excited/nervous to see how it all pans out.

Many ITT seem to feel the same way.

You guys should know by now that a lot of times Dana says one thing and something else happens. "We are not for sale" on the Daily show and now this.
