Report: Stipe Miocic vs Cain Velasquez being targeted for UFC 216

Cain needs to show these nerds who the best HW really is.

Derrick Lewis had beat Travis Browne along with 5 others, all since October 2015. Cain ONLY has the Travis Browne win dating way back to 2013 (but also a loss to Werdum).

Velasquez teleporting to the front of the line continues this trend of UFC making it seem like wins don't matter anymore. They're just going to put who they think is most marketable in front.

Cain is a former champ, ya dolt. WTF are you talking about teleport? And he smashed Browne way better than Derrick fat boy Lewis.

Alright I'm down for it.

I got to say I was kinda expecting the November NY MSG card.. but we get the earlier October 7 Vegas card.

Cain will have his new baby boy in November so I guess this will work better for him too.

But Stipe will lose on the PPV share since he doesn't get an event card stacked with multiple tittle fights and possible GSP for a total of 1 mill buys, huge money and exposure will be missed, should have said his knee hurts or something delay that shit for a month to maximize his bank.

First rumors are starting guys and girls @g*r*b and Mr. @Final Say first step is having it official next step is getting there on fight night a-ok.
I can't see them making this fight if they believed Cain would win. Makes no sense.

Looks like cain going to be champ again lol. Can't wait to see the good O boy sherdoggers crying when cain stops stripe lol. I still remember how mad they were when brock lost.

Miocic is going to outbox him, he is going to PUNISH AND PUT A HURT on Mr. Velasquez for bum rushing him.

Miocic is a very solid wrestler so grapple fuck is unlikely

Miocic by stoppage.

Cain will pull out because of an injury so even if it gets booked, with signed bout agreements and all, don't expect it to actually occur!

How close to sea level are we talking

has anyone ever tried that wrestling-heavy grind-em-out style against stipe before?

i would like to see this matchup tbh.
Stipe is a great athlete, quick feet, and was a collegiate wrestler.
Werdum tried to crowd him and well we saw that

Gonzaga tried taking him down a fair number of times in their match and got him down once or twice, but he didn't stay down long. He displayed a rather pretty sprawl in that one, did Stipe. But Gonzaga isn't exactly a wrestling specialist now is he.

Beltran got him down once (overbalancing him after Miocic threw a knee) and kept him down with some gnp for maybe 15 seconds. JDS did a gorgeous trip and had Stipe on the mat for a whopping half a minute. But neither is a patch on Cain when it comes to the Grind.

So yeah, this would be a very interesting experiment.

If Stipe beats Cain, I'd definitely consider him one of the GOAT heavyweights, right up there with Fedor.

Oh, it's on now. War Cain!!!

And please come into the octagon relatively healthy, please. I know you're the real champ, and injuries have messed you career up, badly. Please be healthy.

Lol at "real champ".He's 1-1 in the last fours years,in his loss he was badly beaten and his only win in that time is Browne who's on a long losing streak.
Werdum beat Cain decisively and made him go tap-tap.
Stipe KO'd Werdum in one round and then defended his belt twice with first round finishes.
