From time to time (by that, i mean everyday) I see some shertards saying how Jones is a coward HW that magically cuts a lot of weight to fight smaller LHW guys. As if Glover, Gus, DC, Bader were all small guys who cut almost no weight.

The truth is: Jones cut about 15 to 20 pounds. That can only be considered a big, but still doable, cut for featherweight standards. That would be a standard easy cut to most welterweighters. Yeah, Jones was blessed with chicken legs that allow him to be long without weighting much.

But we are talking about weight classes, not heigh/reach classes. OSP, DC or Rumble won't face a heavier opponent against Jones.

Do I believe Jones cal fill his frame to around 235 and be a HW contender? Yeah, but that's another topic.

You are right he weight around 220 and much taller than average.

Bader, Rumble, Cormier are legit 230+ guys

and they are other big guy in that divison, Latifi come to mind

He cuts the weight in his calves. That's his secret.

Personally, I never thought of Jones as a big LHW.
Seems average-sized, to me.
Long and lean, yes, but he would be a small HW for sure.

Lol at retards who think weight is everything about size and neglect frame.

I believe he was around 222 cage weight in recent fights.

Uber Jones I think is at 228. Not sure if he will enter the cage at 228, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was right around there.

He seems more lean now than ever before, I think he cuts at most 15 lbs now, to make it easier for lack of IV's.

He probably cuts less than McGregor, who is idolized for beating up smaller guys.

Sherdog's a weird place.

Jones is 225-228 and cuts from there

Two years ago, it was reported that he walks around at about 230. That's well before Jones started gaining weight power lifting. Jones cuts a ton of weight.

The truth is:...

Tbh I haven't seen this posted alot, not even enough to warrant me to say "yeah, people do from time to time", but anyone that does think this is a meathead. He's not even an overtly big LHW.
His range offers him nice advantages sure but nothing to bring into a comparison or viewpoint to say he's a heavy fighting in the light heavyweight division. But people gonna people...

So should they switch to height class or reach class or frame class?

Or is it just obvious that weight is the most important?

Or you can stop being a fool and realize frame and weight go hand in hand in size.

IMHO they all cheat.
If you have to dehydrate to fight at a certain WC, that WC is not for you.
But as everyone does, this becomes a game of who can do best.

I don't like it. But that is the rule for everyone.

And as long as he does not fail to make weight, there's NOTHING to complain about.
