I think in her case, my exes mother, it was that she had a little hearing as a child. But it was so little she was considered deaf.
I honestly cant recall the back story.
I recall that people used to learn to read lips and speak. Today its different.
Its a long time ago. I cant say exactly how long because then uncle @Graves will just show up and call me old.

One thing thats really "cool" or weird / fascinating is if both parents are deaf their kids dont cry when little.
They realize at a very young age that their parents cant hear them.
So they uses a lot of facial expressions to communicate their feelings.


I just remember that there seemed to be a lot of almost militant opinion in the deaf community.
Personally I just learned how to curse and call people good looking in sign language.

The deaf culture is really interesting, I learned a lot.

Real talk my Dad and his fellow USMC DI tried out for the show first season, were told they were too big/swole, and then signed up to teach them how to do the Joust as they were considered the experts as USMC DI

My dad was 6' 240ish at the time, and it makes sense, the competitors were always way smaller than the Gladiators

These kids of celebrities really need to find their own path, and do something original, not just following in footsteps. Hollywood probably reboot Terminator in few years with this kid as the Terminator.
