Instead of Mir for his debut, Brock was set to face Mark Coleman.

Was anybody picking Coleman? I wonder what the betting line was. No results.

Good thing it never happened for Coleman's sake.

Brock would have crushed him.

Glad it never happened. Was bummed he never got to fight Tito though. I think Tito prob would have won but it would have been a great build up

I don’t remember that at all. I Think this may have been a rumor and not true. In his last fights in the ufc he looked abysmal

It was after the Mir fight. He was supposed to fight Mark on the GSP/Fitch card but fought Heath Herring instead

that would have been ugly.

Remember this was pre usada. And Coleman whilst not having the best cardio still had one of the best power doubles. Would of been fun to watch. Although most likely Brock would have won.

It was going to be Lesnar"s debut and Coleman's first fight back in the UFC since leaving Pride. Lesnar is part of the reason Coleman dropped down to LHW, because after seeing his performances he new guys like Lesnar would just be to big for him.

Coleman was too old and washed up by this point.

But in his prime, Mark would win.

Did you see what couture did to mark... Would have been a massacre

Prime Coleman vs Lesnar, though.. Coleman was over 250 lbs, super jacked and a better wrestler.

That was going to be Brock’s second fight. He debuted at 81 against Mir. His second fight at 87 was supposed to be against Coleman but Mark pulled out and Brock fought Herring instead.

I don't think so. Prime Mark Coleman was always a very one dimensional 220 pound HW. Brock would have 50-60 pounds on him. Brock also had better BJJ. Colman wouldn't have been able to over power him which was Coleman's biggest attribute.

You're right, my mistake.

I do not remember that actually.

Thank God Coleman was spared.
