"Actually, on stage I was so mad because before we walked on stage to weigh-ins he told me he was going to stab me in the neck, actually," said Poirier. "And they had to separate us. Yeah, he was that nuts man. That's why I was so upset."

Diego pistol whipping some guy at a club and getting arrested doesn't really surprise me any. Stories like the one above led me to believe awhile back that Diego is a bit of a thug.

Whatever gave you that impression? Fighter bashing imo

They're an odd bunch at Jackson-Wink.

Jones, Sanchez, Brando, Cerrone etc.

If I had the capability to KO 9/10 of the humans on Earth, I'd be ashamed of my self for carrying a gun and retire from life.

Are you serious, making a joke, or trolling?

Joking. "a violent criminal" is a more accurate statement than "a bit of a thug". Pistol whipping someone in a strip club? lol. He'd probably get 3 years over here.

You can KO everyone in the world but when someone's pointing a gun at you from 10 feet away what are you going to do? Better learn to quick draw and aim.

The two aren't connected in any way. There's fist fighting, and then there's shootouts. Just because you're good at one its not going to help you in any way when it comes to the other.

He seems like he has that a-type Brazilian over emotional gene. That Poirier incident was weird as there didn't seem to be any bad blood before the fight. And according to Pendred after the weigh ins at the fighter meeting he threw a bottle of water that just missed Conor's head.

He must've been seriously agitated if he came back with a gun. Thankfully it wasn't fired and no one was hurt or worse. I'd like to think he got the gun and took the bullets out of it and tried to intimidate the staff. But bullets or no bullets in the gun, it's must've being terrifying for the folk who were being targeted and the on watchers.

Can we call it pussification of mankind?

Greg Jackson - "Diego, go slap somebody get some fans........ then you will get exonerated like Jon Jones"

I am glad you were joking lol. But it looks like you may have misread my post. The "bit of a thug" comment was made in regards to Diego's threat to Poirier.

Thanks for the reminder. I knew there was some other incident with him that was a little weird.

"Brandao was going crazy, screaming like a lunatic. He picked up a bottle of water, threw it at Conor and it just missed his head. There was nearly a brawl. In the end Conor, was laughing his head off, going ‘Your man Brandao is brilliant, I love that’.

The unaired videos of him in the TUF house was worse. He made many threats to Brimage.

The "gangster" mentality brings nothing but trouble. I know too many dudes who cant break out of that mindset.

true dat

Brandao was pretty much the "let me bang bro" guy of his season, but instead of a drunk retard he was actually insane and dangerous. Too bad he was actually good and won the whole thing.

Lol, we can call it progress of technology. No way in hell people back in ''good ol' days'' used only their fists anyway when it came to fighting, and most that survived did it because of that fact.
Pride is good in the ring but pretty stupid when there is no referee.
