Lol WTF.. Why is everything so blurry?? Was this some sort of ancient forgotten Instagram filter technology? Is it Possible??

Still better than the Sears 1988 Winter catalog that helped me go through puberty

I remember looking at the brunette's bush in penthouse. She was awesome.

If you look closely its not actually "blurry", the images arent lacking in detail in the parts that are in focus. What your seeing is actually spherical aberration in the lens were contrast lowers and bright areas tend bleed into those around them, look at the way the light behind the model/statue bleeds over the edges of them,

That kind of effect was original a fault in large aperture camera lenses but when the look became in fashion during the 70's they started creating lenses that would allow you to play it up.

I'v actually got a Nikon 105mm F/2 Defocus Control lens from the early 90's and if you wack that aspect up to maximum you get images like this....

The alternative could be using a lens filter or just putting vaseline on the lens although results there are a bit less predictable.

Well I am not 70 years old so I remember much higher quality ones than that.

Maybe. Or maybe is it a long forgotten technology taught to us by the sun gods??

Cheesecloth. They used it liberally for Margot Kidder.

Maybe they should have picked canvas.
