Darwin's theory and religion aren't necessarily enemies of one another. I am a creationist but the existence of a living creatures ability to adapt to its surroundings can't be denied. I know that Darwin was an atheist when he died but I don't think his research was meant to be an attack on creationism. It's hard to refute really.

I love when Egyptologists try and tell us about the colloquial meanng or context under which the glyphs meaning were written. -like they really can understand what was happening or meant in that age.

We don't even really know if our translations at the most basic literal sense are really very correct, as we have the Rosetta Stone which is a stretch in many interpretative senses as well
