I'm releasing O'Malley, retiring Conor McGregor, rehiring Francis Ngannou.

Firing O'Malley for sure, not a big fan of how his career was managed in some parts. Luckily you can't get away with too much cherry picking in a division like bantamweight, he's definitely skilled and fun but that Vera title defense was a huge waste of time
Pereira also has a similar issue, but at least he's very active and seems to be willing to fight anyone(I'd say this is more the UFC's doing since they aren't big fans of Ank)
Aspinall would be insane to cut here, dude's got everything going for him here

Conor's already retired, don't care to see him at this point. Aldo still has some steam in him, maybe a legend fight with him and Cruz or a rematch with Cub.
Jones is close to done, but it would be cool if he stuck around to fight Tom

Rehire? Kinda hard to pick, Francis is old and inactive, the other two are retired.
Khabib's been retired for very long time now and most likely wouldn't be able to make 155 or 170 in a healthy manner. DJ is the only I'd be leaning towards since he's had the most recent MMA fight out of the three, altho I don't think he has much to prove anymore

O'Malley is the only release candidate whose release doesn't cripple a division, so that's an easy call.

Conor is already retired, so that's another easy call.

While I'd much rather see a couple more DJ fights, the HW division needs bodies and names, especially if Jones retires after the Stipe fight, so the call goes to Francis. Although, if Francis loses next week that goes right out the window.

Why would they consider releasing any of those guys? I thought you were going to ask about guys that are actual candidates to get cut. Not a champion, a former champ, and an interim champion.

Regardless I go with O'Malley (that's the easiest one), Aldo (I think the other two will retire on their own soon), and Ngannou (Khabib isn't coming back and I don't DJ needs to come back, now would the UFC use him right....they could sure use Ngannou right now, imagine an Aspinall/Ngannou fight?)
