It's unfortunate to say this is a possibility due to the fact they didn't shop Luka around. That's the part no one can explain.

There's no reason to hand a top 5 generational talent ahead of his prime to a team that only has to give up a top 10 player who is going to steadily decline out of his prime, a role player and a 1st rd pick 4 yrs from now?

Considering the Mavs have a 20 year old DLive with a bright future and Gaff who is in his prime and is a block machine, its hard to comprehend why Nico would be willing to give up a 25 year old Luka to get a 32 year old injury prone Center. I assume that's because there is a possibility Gaff or DLive is about to be traded so brace yourself. The fact the Lakers are involved at all, that alone makes the entire thing suspect. The entire thing reeks of corruption somewhere.

There are some posts floating around on X that the plan is to trade Luka for a pack of cigs and a beef stick, dry up support for the team because ticket sales will plummet, then use that as an excuse to move the team to Vegas so Dallas has no team. At this point nothing would surprise me, shit feels real. This is outside AAC today, the trade has made people incensed. Nico better hire legit security because there are crazy people that will run the fade on sight.
