How do you feel about it? It's been happening more and more frequently. It used to be the case where the guy would at least have to be dropped and on the ground before it was stopped. Guess they're taking fighter safety more seriously.

Diego was out on his feet, i would had stopped even sooner.

They stop some early, but i'm glad they stopped Diego, Diegos brain won't allow him to be dropped, it was rough watching those shots blast him repeatedly.

Diego was fucking out of it bad. Should've been stopped sooner

If the fighter isn't defending and is getting their head bounced around it should be stopped, standing or not.

It was late. shit anyone saying that was early is a fan of brain damage.

You have to be intelligently defending yourself and Diego clearly wasn't.

Happens a lot in Boxing. I like it. Reduce the brain injuries where you can.

There needs to be more standing stoppages TBH
u dont need to get dropped to be done

Depends on the situation, in this case I thought it was a good stoppage. Diego was out on his feet and getting beat up badly

Some fighters are too stupid to go down.
Their pride won't let them.

I disagree with it, but as mma became more mainstream there was a clear rise in earlier stoppages. New fans are less just bleed, they lack budo IMO.

Lots of respect to Joe for not brutalizing Diego and constantly looking at referee to stop the fight.

ever since pat curran vs joe warren, i've had very little issue with standing stoppages.

Sometimes people aren't out cold but they're rendered defenseless albeit upright, so it is fair to stop in the feet sometimes.

The Sanchez stoppage was a bit late, if anything. Totally justified and I hope that we'll see more "out on his feet" stoppages. Boxing does have this one right.

That ref seemed kind of lost or nervous, I think he kind of botched the stoppage, it should have been stopped sooner if anything

Diego vs J-Lau was late.

Some fighters can eat bombs and stay on their feet. They might not even know what's happening or they are just stubborn/too much pride.

The ref needs to protect the fighters.

Some fighters are too tough for their own good. For example. Muhammed Ali. He was never knocked out cold. But he took bombs for year. Basically became a vegetable 4 years after he retired.

i dont like. im old school and i guess im not really used to it. but if the losing opponent doesn't complain, i wont complain.
