I'm currently a full time student and after school each day I work unloading trucks for 4-5 hours. I never have that much time to eat and when I get up in the morning I feel really sore, weak, and still tired. I was wondering if a supplment would help me out, and if you guys could recommend any.
drinking muscle milk before bed supposedly keeps you anabolic, feeds your muscles while you sleep. i think it helps quite a bit with my recovery time. as far as energy, i personally avoid caffeine, but breakfast is paramount.
i agree.. i only take caffiene on days where i have a huge test.. or when i need to study hardcore.. other then that, i avoid soda, coffee, and anything that has caffiene.. if u don't have time for breakfast.. make a quick protein/greens shake in the morning.. and drink another protein shake when u get home.. eat a big lunch if u can.. o yeh, and u should already be taking a multi-vitamin
if i don't have time for breakfast, i usually just chug 2 regular size coffee cups (8 oz.) of V8. and yeah, a multivitamin is important. anything that turns your pee green is worthy.
I take amphetamine pills as a perscription and caffine would probably cancel that out (they are both stimulints). Anyone recommend what I should buy for a shack, just what specific stuff i need?
You said you don't have time to eat, right? That's most likely your primary source of fatigue. If you get no break in that 5 hour block at work, then an MRP (Meal Replacement Powder) would be best for you. I'd recommend a custom formula from the Protein Factory: 50% Rice Oligodextrin 25% WPC (Whey Protein Concentrate) 20% Flax Powder 5% Yolk Powder Sweetener: Splenda or Stevia Cost: $3.68/lb (10 pounds will set you back about $45 after shipping). Simple, to the point, some good fats, a little lower GI than anything you'll find on the shelves, and cheap as hell. Just order a shaker cup with it and that's all you need for a boost in energy and a stabilization of your blood-sugar levels. Just go to proteinfactory.com and click on "The Lab". *EDIT* Changed up the formula a bit. Lowered the cholesterol, added some fiber and improved the mixability/flavor .
