hardly main event quality but its nice to see Tengnueng in a fair match where I don't think he will be dwarfed in size. Teng was on the verge of stopping Menshikov with leg kicks and had definitely started to get to Bakhtin before the 2 turnaround KOs, so he has been very competitive despite his disadvantages. Pretty sure he should outclass Tun Min Aung

Petlampun - Albadr is decent and should be a good competitive matchup but a sign of the dropping quality of these cards, this fight would not have made a co-main event a year ago IMO.

Lamsing will be chasing shadows all night, Salomov's footwork makes Ortikov seem like he is virtually stationary by comparison, but he's pretty good at it too

Fergus Smith is interesting as his parents are both minor Muay Thai legends in the UK, and I believe he has something of a reputation on the UK scene.

Brazil and Kampeetewada get debutants

Tanitsu, 4-1 (3) returns / debutant

Thats pretty cool, who are his parents? I don't know too much about the UK scene.

Richard Smith and Lisa Houghton-Smith, I had even heard of Lisa Houghton myself some years ago and I don't follow the scene all that closely so she must have been pretty prominent if i can remember her name. their gym Bad Company is very prominent on the UK scene I think

Looks like he is only 19 but already has regional titles at superflyweight and bantamweight. Should be an interesting debut.

yeah these kids raised in Muay Thai by parents who are heavily into the game can often be as close as you get to being as fight-mature/ fight-savvy as the Thai fighters at a young age.

Petlampun - Albadr is an interesting style match. Interestingly in a lefty-righty matchup they have both had lots of success with the lead hook in opposite stance matchups which is pretty rare, Albadr getting several KDs in the last couple of fights. Petlampun will be trying to come forward with constant output and combinations, Albadr is more the type to use movement (he's good on his feet) to raid in and out with single/double shots but much lower overall output IIRC.
Petlampun is pretty heavy with the punch attack but shows much more variety overall in his offence, Albadr is the occasional kick to go with the punching from outside. I do think for at least the early going Albadr will be successful in maintaining the distancing at the longer range that suits him best, he's longger-limed and quicker with his feet, rather than the mid-range which is petlampun's strength. One of Albadr's best weapons is his jab, though, which against a southpaw won't be as effective in maintaining distance for him.
I'm thinking Petlampun will be able to make the ring small enough that rds2&3 are more often contested at the mid-close range that suits him, and if he can consistently get to throw at close range, especially if he can get Albadr on the ropes where Petlampun is pretty deadly with combinations and as a finisher, he will definitely have the edge in those exchanges. Not sure how good Albadr will be at defending consistent combinations from that range. Not a top -ine match but fairly intriguing.

Nonthachai vs Soner will be interesting. Both have terrible gas tanks 🤣. Round 1 and first half of 2nd round should be good.

I find just about any Sen matchup interesting for that reason, combine his potential to KO/knockdown opponents and his obvious frailty and there is a potential KO in waiting at any time. this fight is at the full bantam limit 145lbs though so hopefully that should help him compared to 142lbs last time
