MT/KB Japan Recent fights/results/news from Japan II

Somegood fights announced on K-1 MAX, and a lso a bunch of prelim fillers hit I don't know.

Liu Ce got injured. K-1 wanted to cancel his fight, but he recovered quick apparently. Back on to fight Mahmoud Sattari for the tiel.

WLF says there will be an "undefeated genius fighter" that is not known internationally who will appear in the 55 kg bracket. Probably a bum.

Yuki YOza vs Kongnapa title fight

Shoki Kaneda vs Takum Terada, they're good prospects. I've seen Kaneda competing all over the place. Terada just won an ISKA belt in Italy.

55 kg tournament bracke4t finally announced.

Lca is prettty good evne though I made fun of him for losing to Kumura and called out that ONE shill for it. Cambodian guy is supposedly the 2nd best fighter in his division in kun khmer. Orden fought on a ONE show before I think. And that chinese guy is supposedly undefeated in kickboxin and 3-1 in muay thai.
Decent lineup but they should've tried harder to bring a thai. Like getting Kompeth back or View

Seems kind of weird to match the top fighter in the tourney with BUAKAW MYSTERY OPPONENT, but maybe I'm missing some sort of Japan vs. China sour grapes because Japan has no natives left

It looks bad, but it's just the #1 seed vs #8 seed, which is how normal brackets work.

Rooting for Buakaw. Crazy to be doing Kickboxing tournaments at the top level at his age.

It would be nuts for him to capture a max title 20 years after he won it for the first time. Personally I think Akopyan ends up winning the tournament. The other side of the bracket is a nightmare for everyone in it.

I hope they have a solid reserve fight. Should be Thananchai vs TBA imo. He got robbed in the final 16, the least they could do is put him in the reserve match.

Wow really smooth hands fo the KO

Ryu Hanoka looks high level. Will look for the full figt on youtube

Love me some RISE. Ryu got a bit complacent and slipped up in two fights, but hopefully now he's focussed again. Cool tidbit - Ryu's first pro loss was to Nadaka Yoshinari's cousin Shimon.

K-1 said in a press conference they will do 65 kg tournament this fall/winter. Glory and Rise have all the good ones really. Wonder waht K-1 is going to do. They don't have anyone...Noiri left, Yamazaki retired, Kubo retired, Kaew sick if their shit, Anpo left, Kimura (lol) left.

An interesting situation for sure. It will be cool to see a new heir to the division emerge, though I have a feeling we will end up with a new version of Anpo, rather than a master like Noiri.
