Recent fights/results/news from Japan II

In all fairness it was never going to be at the same level as the 70kg Max tournament. Glory has a pretty tight strangle hold on most of the top hw talent.

Liu Ce and the qualification tournament winners are solid, so it won't be a total shit show.

Honestly this upcoming Max card is looking way better anyway. A quality 55kg world max final, an 8-man tournament for the vacant -65kg title, and fights for the Cruiserweight and Featherweight titles.

I figure that it will probably take a couple more years of finding talent and developing a partnership with other promotions before we see a true to form k-1 wgp final. That's assuming K-1 can keep it together.

F@ck it, I always liked max better anyway.
If One goes down and their talent gets absorbed by K1 that might change slowly.
Beybulat isaev, Kryklia, Azizpour and maybe that Hugo Chaves brazilian guy, You add those to Liu Ce and some of the qualification tournament winners and it is actually not even half bad of a tournament.
If Japanese HW would pop up like mushrooms out of nowhere maybe K1 would have an easier time, but I doubt that will happen. I am still dreaming of a good Middleweight Muay Thai division, which also seems unlikely unless they feed all the kids in the Isan HGH chicken all day.

That's not great news, but it's not the worst if they go back to posting them on YouTube a week or so after. The recent K-1 events haven't gone up until at least a month later.

I'd be satisfied if the events were posted on YouTube within a week of the original broadcast. Or I would be satisfied assuming that k-1 makes the necessary broadcasting deals to make sure we have international live broadcast for future events.

Next weekend's card is looking like it could be one of the year's best. It's a terrible shame that we won't get the chance to see it live.

Someone made a higlight of this upset. Rui Okubo0 defeated Masashi Kmura in the last K-1. Ruis iis very technical. But he is also extremely skinny. Eat some more and stop bullying these flyweights. I see in wiki eh lost by leg kicks in the final. Bulk up man

I just watched the Liu Ce vs Sattari fight, Sattari looked almost done at times but Ce failed to finish him.
He also left himself open to a lot of counters, this version of Liu Ce did not look nearly as good as the one that fought Karimian.

Sattari is superior to Karimian, but he involved himself in the fight with a big heavyweight like Istrate.

Liu Ce hasn't fought yet a very relevant name. Ariel Machado isn't a realistically relevant name, he's as semi-expired as Stoforidis and Guto. They grow old, all are 35+ at least. Machado will be 38, Inocente 39 and Stoforidis 36.

Carlos Kikuta just presented Taito Gunji's ISKA Intercontinental Super Featherweight Title Match.

The belt holder is a Romanian named Cristian Bogdan. I really hope he's solid and not a victim! Romania doesn't have below 61. They fight bigger guys therefore at 61 or abroad. He's 20-2-1 but so far didn't appear on big cards in Europe. He has some Muay Thai background like Silviu Vitez. My prediction is that we will start seeing Romanian midgets in Asia now. Let's see what they do!

Rui Okubo looked great here, could adapt to other fight codes with that style.

Some more fights announced for that card.

Akihiro kaneko vs Aslanbek Zikreeev. Good flyweight fight.

Femg Rui vs Mattia Faraoni confirmed as the last fight in heavyweight tournament.

Thian De Vries has confirmed he will be fighting someone in the K-1 december event. We don't know who thoughl

This guy is really popuar with Argentinainas I've seen.

Tenshin's younger brother wins a RISE title. I am surprised. I ddin't think Ryujin wasn very oogd.

Mohamed Boutassaa is now in K-1. He is fighting a journeyman Riku. He will be in MAX tournament this year I guess

Thian de Vries will fight Carlos Budiao. Ok journeyman. Not that bood. But he is better than that Japanese guy Thian fought last time in K-1
