Really? St-pierre has not finished a guy since 2009?

justbleed.gif

GSP makes people bleed quite a bit. He just doesn't finish anybody. Lol. So posting that gif is ironic.

Is that guy on the right smoking a cig? I never thought it's allowed in the arena

1) It's either weed or a cig. Hard to tell.
2) Bare in mind this was in 1993. Anti-smoking laws in indoor public places were still in their infancy.
3) People break that shit all the time at concerts. I never see smoking at UFC events these days though.

Trying to decipher TS's idiotic post, I think he's bitching about the Hardy & Alves fights and why GSP didn't finish them. I didn't see a gripe with the Condit fight which had a ton of blood although I felt dumber one line in so I scanned the rest of the stupidity. Neither Hardy nor Alves were cut badly (although Alves was dropped in the 4th round and Hardy was nearly tapped twice).

I guess "Just Bleed Out" would be a better gif if the TS demands a stoppage?

too bad that rounds won mean shit when you are finished, which by the way is the ultimate victory. when gsp wins his opponents still have fight in them, when anderson wins his opponents have no fight left in them, they flat out give up or are unconcious. so how can anyone say decisioning someone is more impressive than finishing.

You managed to completely miss my point, good job.

Going going going gone full retard here.

So what is more impressive showing of skill / entertainment Hendricks flukey first punch knockout of Fitch or a complete dismantling for 25 minutes where every aspect of mma is displayed and the champion shows dominance in every position. Also to the complete retard who says gsp's opponents have fight left in them after 25 minutes maybe you should watch the hardy, koscheck, Fitch fights, or maybe even bj penn who quit in between rounds. Anyone even a bum off the street can land a lucky punch on the button to knock someone out, but when I watch mma I want to watch mma and see all the amazing skills and disciplines come together and create an epic battle whether standing or on the ground.

Ts prefers violence not sport/skill/entertainment/heart/MMA

if i did, what did you mean by posting amount of rounds won. there was another poster who posted stats and the fact that gsp won so many rounds. that is not a good record imo. it just means that gsp took longer to win than silva, and that he needed a 3rd party to agree with him. there is no dispute that gsp won those fights, but the fact that one or 2 bad judges could've seen a different fight, there is a chance he could lose.

anderson couldnt finish the only WW he has fought in the UFC - Maia. Give GSP some scrub MW and im sure he will finish him like anderson did to some scrubs at LHW. Anderson couldnt finish Cote, who trained with GSP in the past. Anderson couldnt finish Thales Leitis , lmao that guy isnt even in the UFC anymore and Anderson couldnt finish him....anderson must be GARBAGE!!!

No idea but I think an age restriction should be set on these boards or atleast an IQ test before you can sign up.

This place would be kinda boring without all the idiots. Why else would we keep coming back to Sherdog of all places? It's a symbiotic relationship.

he's not a finisher

he's a controller

that's why he wins rounds, he's game plans are set up for it.

If he trained to finish people I'm sure he could. I think he has a fear of being caught again like what Serra and Carlos did. To finish you have to take some chances but GSP is so fast and Athletic he hold the upper hand. It's all mental.

also, look up chaels interviewing about pacing and going for the kill where he mentions gsps style of fighting

1. it would indeed be HILARIOUS if gsp finished silva.
not saying the gsp/silva fight will happen, and if it happens, my money is on silva, with the subnote it'll be much close than people think. but for gsp to get super-lucky on fight night and get a fluke finish on silva would be realy funny!

2. GSP has been robbed of one recent finish: Koscheck #2 fight is a TKO.not a decision. come on man, broken face.literal, what with broken bones and all. guy couldnt even get on a plane afterwards. doctor's fail, not gsp's-what should gsp do, decapitate him?

3. gsp has lost 18 months of his career.
these are his last 3 fights:
Koscheck #2(jabfest you call it, but the damage he caused would be a finish 110% with any responsible doctor)
Shields (very bad fight; decision, and eyepokes made gsp look bad)
condit (he couldnt finish condit either)

i dont see anything strange here. sure, he had two bad performances in a row(condit fight was not a bad performance at all, but lets accept it was bad because unlike koscheck he didnt realy destroy the opponent).

so what?

i'll be the first to say gsp has weaknesses. his lack of head movement per se, and his tendency to get hit clean when his stick 'n move jabfest fails. but his finishing is very underrated. guy KO'd hughes and penn. serra too. practicaly destroyed koscheck. and people complain why he didnt finish alves and hardy. LOL.

Im not really sure how GSP can be considered one of the p4p greats when he has not finished a fight since 2009. He goes 5 rounds against people that he should be able to finish like Alves and Hardy. when I see Anderson Silva fight I know that somebody is gonna get KTFO. When I see GSP fight I know im going to see a five round boring jab-takedown fest.Dont people hate on Fitch for the same thing? If GSP fights Silva I just dont see GSP being able to do much. IMO it is not even an exciting fight. I would much rather see a superfight between Dos Santos-Jones,Jones-Silva. If I had to choose a superfight for GSP I would like to see GSP vs Bendo. What is your take on this?
being a p4p great isn't about finishing at all. not even 1%. It's about winning. It's about how hard YOU ARE TO DEFEAT.

GSP may be the worst finisher of all the champions right now, but he's also probably the hardest to beat.

Wrap your head around that. His opponents have 5 rounds to beat him and he's still harder to beat than all the other champions.

How is he harder to beat than Jones? Someone who has actually never been beaten.

Anyway...

Was there ever any talk about rds won before Georges startet winning most of his fights by decision?
