It all depends on the gameplan concocted by Cordeiro. If RDA exchanges with McGregor by charging forward in a straight line and no lateral movement, he's going to get pieced up.

If he did it in a kickboxiing bout? Then I'd be surprised. In an MMA fight? Not even slightly surprised. We've seen worse strikers than RDA outstrike better guys than Conor when you factor in a grappling threat.
I'd be way more surprised if Mcgregor outgrapples RDA

If RDA beats Conor standing my reaction will be pretty much be of no surprise, especially with the threat of a takedown from someone who will batter him brutally from top position. Conor has to know that too or he's foolish, and I don't think he is. I don't think it's gonna happen though. I feel like RDA will have some success with leg and body kicks but he's gonna have most of his success in the clinch. That's where he's gonna punish Conor.

TS proposes a possibility that Conor can lose, but he is stupid? Somehow because Conor won his last fight and beat a champ that means he cant lose now? How did that work out for every other champion in MMA history? If the mods could ban for stupidity you would have been banned before your first post.

people are forgetting how highly regarded pettis was before the RDA fight. mcgregor lands one punch against aldo and now can't be beaten. if he loses to RDA it will be 'i knew he wasn't that good.'
